sleep, shopping, and ernie.....

I'm seeing light at the end of my dark tunnel of mucus head. It is draining and I am sleeping. Mucinex doesn't work. It is an expectorant and may thin down the mucus, but it doesn't go anywhere....and it doesn't thin it in my head! All it does is make me cough... so I decided to take a antihistamine and get rid of it. I did yesterday and slept in my chair off and on from 2:00 until Papa got home and sent me to bed and I slept all night until 4:45 in the morning. I must have gotten about 10-12 hours sleep! I feel better because of it. It was so weird....I just COULD NOT stay awake! I barely remember talking to Sharon when she called. Now papa has a cough. He is staying home today. Poor papa.

Went out yesterday. Met Doug and Betty at WalMart. But we all went our separate ways. They left before me and messed around downtown. I got the turkey for Saturday. The largest one I could find was 23 pound. Hope that is enough for 35 people.....but mom is bringing a ham, too. We should have plenty of food. Always do. Shopping exhausted me. Maybe that's another reason I slept all afternoon into the night!

I did call Ernestine yesterday. So good to talk to her. She loves hearing from her people in Washington!!! She feels she turned a corner. Earlier in the week she didn't want to live anymore. It was hard to hear her and understand her at times.... she is weak. I love that lady and respect her so much! To know her and her compassionate heart... means you have been blessed. I'm going to contact Bill Bowers today and hopefully he'll call her..... she's been thinking of him alot.

Well, what do ya all think of this bail-out issue with our government. Isn't that like getting a loan and then saying "I've changed my mind....I'm going to buy something else instead." Weird. Karen....are you the one who left a message yesterday about Sarah? love it. Ya know.... I want a bail out. Any body out there want to bail me out?
