Quick post for a Sunday!

Oh my, it has been well over a week since I have posted.  Right now I am in the process of planning and packing for our road trip. It is going to be so much fun! I am so excited. We are taking kids which always make it funner!!!! (if there is such a word).  I realized the kids are getting older and i am losing time to spend with them. They grow up on their own. My kids stopped vacationing with me ages ago...unless it is camping. Then they come if they can. But already Andrew is too busy to come with us. So we are grabbing Dylan (who shockingly is coming) who is sitting up front with Papa. (co-pilot)

and Maddie (who is taking middle seats with me)

and Lauren is taking the back with the Scruffy!!!

We got it all planned out I hope.  Buying a few groceries for the trip but that is about it! Can't wait to see the Pacific Ocean!!!!

This past week has been interesting. Lots of rain so we didn't get to go to one game. Well, Lauren and I physically went to Alyssa's game but it was cancelled, too.

There was school only 3 days last week. Lucky kids.  Maddie stayed here a night last weekend. She is so pretty. We went to the Learning Tree. She loves that store. It kind of makes me sad. It is where I would go and spend lots of money for preschool supplies when I taught.

Lauren got her birthday present from her mom...highlights.  They are so pretty I want some!!!!

Well, it is Sunday and I have to start getting ready.  Going to Tara's today to visit with her and my grand daughters and see Heather and the boys!  Lovin' seein' some grandbabies!!!!!

Have a great week! I will try to post.

Top 10 Recordings, Blooming bulbs, and bread.

Today I am posting Top Ten Tuesday and my top ten favorite TV shows I am recording right now! Not in any particular order....
1. The Walking Dead
2. Mystery Diners
3. The Voice
4. Love It or List It
5. Rizzoli and Isles
6. Survivor
7. American Idol
8. Duck Dynasty
9. When Calls the Heart
10. The Mentalist

I also love watching "Worst Cooks in America".  So funny!  I shouldn't laugh because I never made Eggs Benedict.  It doesn't look hard but Lanny had it at a men's breakfast once and said it was terrible and won't eat it again.  Andrew on the other hand, loves it. I've never tried it.

Hummingbird kept coming to my window yesterday.  Now I know... his feeder was empty. We have those little critters all year long. They are pretty cool. Papa is putting the clean and full feeder out there now.

I spent some time outside. Some flowers are coming up so I took pictures to share while papa and scruffy were on a walk. Last fall papa threw some bulbs he found in the garage into these pots to see if they would grow. Ta-da!
Tulips, Daffodils and I believe Hyacinths?

The daffodil starting to bloom.
I love this seasonal tree. It is pretty in the spring....
I love this tree.... I also love it in the winter!!!!

Took a few pictures of the kitty today. The second one I am outside and he is watching me.
Papa is on a new kick.  Making bread.  Almost every other day.  It is really good stuff!

I wish you could smell it.  I wish you could taste it!!!! Very good!

Well, I think I am feeling better. I am not getting light headed as often.  I even drove half way home this morning with Papa in the van.  First time I have driven in almost 2 weeks.  I finished the antibiotic yesterday. Yay me. I still get some spins here and there if I move too fast.  But I am back to riding my exercise bike.  Glad about that. I want to get back to normal so bad.  No jokes, anyone!

We had a tragedy in the Seattle area this morning.  The KOMO (TV station) was leaving the studio today and crashed less than a block away next to the Space Needle. The pilot and cameraman died. So sad. It has been all over the news channels today. Dan Lewis outwardly crying while reporting it.

RIP to the camera man and pilot involved.

The guy in the red car got out and is in ICU burn unit. It wasn't as bad as once thought but I heard it is still over 15 % of his body. He needs your prayers.

Sad day in Seattle.  We all mourn for those affected by this terrible accident.
Gods blessings keeping you safe....

Lumpia is so good!!!!!

Let's just get this out of the way. This week sucked. Big time. I have been on the antibiotic for 9 days. I only have one more day.  Hasn't done a thing. My head is still heavy and feels like doodoo and my vertigo is as bad as it was 11 days ago when I first got it.  I've tried everything... even two maneuvers. The Epley's procedure and the Half Somersault Maneuver.  Neither worked. Tried cleaning my ears with drops. Nah. So now papa wants me to go to the doctor again tomorrow. I don't want to do it.

Got that out of the way!  Now on to better things. Lauren is super awesome!!!!! She made my week better everyday I saw her!  (Can you tell Lauren just hacked my computer? lol)

Wanted to share some funny pictures of papa and kitkat.  He knows what the sound of the sewing box sounds like and comes running.  He loves it when papa sews. Drives papa crazy.

Lauren spent the weekend which was nice.  We didn't do nothing spectacular because of the way I am feeling. She went to the store with papa and got a drawing tablet, pencils and pens, etc... She is really into drawing. Lauren has a creative mind. Singing, drawing, writing, etc... She loves it all. We've watched a few movies and some TV. Yesterday Lauren cooked up some Lumpia for lunch. We all picked out.

She stacked it up! Notice dog is watching. lol!
Scruffy sure likes it when kids are here.  Wears him out. That's for sure!

My daughter Karla is doing the beer run this morning.  It is starting at one station (brewery), going to another, and then to another and back to the start.  It is 4 miles. And it's raining.  Feel bad for her. yuck.

There is this thing going around facebook. The 2013 Winter Challenge.  It requires jumping into cold water.  With the Puget Sound and all the docks around here makes it easy. I was challenged by my niece Jessica...but I threw Lauren out to be my stand-in. I don't know if it works that way or not but I sure am not doing it the way I feel.  Ryan and Amanda have both doing it...I heard Kevon was doing it today. He's been so sick I hope he doesn't.  Can't tell your adult children anything!

I was checking the bridge cameras the other day and that white car is papa's! Never saw anyone I knew on the bridge before!

Yesterday papa saw an eagle fly over the house with something in its talons... probably a fish. We have quite a few of these magnificent birds around here.

Well, Dylan just called and he is bringing Maddie over! Yay! So Maddie and Lauren will both be here for awhile today!

The kids and the grandkids. Blessed!

I love the picture up above of my family! I don't think my family knows how much I love them. They are just living their lives not having any idea how we pray for them and love them and just hearing from them makes our day.  You put everything you got into raising these guys and there is nothing better in the world to see them now. We are so blessed by the adults they turned out to be and how great our grandkids are.  Respectful and loving. Thanking God for all of it and praising His name forever!

I guess loving my family is better than the pity party I had this afternoon!  I am so sick of this vertigo! I am sick of being dizzy.  I have to try so hard not to move too fast.  Driving is really iffy. Today scared me because I had to drive to Bremerton to pick up Papa. He dropped off the van to get new brakes. I really prayed on the way.  I just don't know when the spells will hit. I shouldn't be driving at all. I get nauseated too. After I picked him up we went to breakfast (which was good but kind of annoying because a couple sat behind us and he wouldn't quit whistling. Probably wouldn't bother me if I was feeling better. I would just think he was a happy guy.) Then we came home.  Thankfully grandson Andrew took Papa back to Bremerton to pick up the Van.

I think I am being really hit and miss on this post because I am watching the Voice I recorded last night. It is awesome.

Well.... a couple pics of my goofy kids and I will sign off! Have a great week!
