This started out an awesome day. Payday is always awesome since we don't get paid but once a month. Plus we didn't have to make a house payment so I felt so rich! Then....... we went and had our taxes done. Dumdadumdum. When I tried figuring our taxes a few weeks ago it said we owed $1500.00. I thought how ridiculous it had to be. So today she itemized more than I did and knew a lot more than I did and she brought it down!!!!! By about $100 and only charged us $66 so we came out $44 ahead. You can stop laughing now. But it is a good thing we didn't have to make our $1500.00 house payment. Uncle Sam wants it. And the $44.00 goes to Papa car tabs. Can't win, I tell you. It has always been that way. You get a few dollars ahead, a bonus on your check, some unexpected money and bigger than anything you will also need a car repair, bill, or taxes. I am thankful we have the money to pay it. God provides. I wish He would have provided the 300,000,000.00 plus I
needed wanted to win the other night. Seriously, we had enough to pay our bills and the taxes. We are good.
Pity party over.
I have so many blessings in my life. That is only money. I thank God for the health, beauty, brains, and love I see in all my grandkids. God really blessed us with them! Our kids are pretty great too....like I said in yesterdays post.
Maddie sprained her ankle at school today. Karla said it's not bad enough to take her out of softball season....the games don't start until after Easter break.
Watching Dancing with the Stars. Sadly, I think Wynonna and Dorothy H. both are pretty bad and I don't see them catching on. I just saw that Dorothy Hamill withdrew today. It isn't on yet so I don't know why. Zendaya and Kellie Pickler are my favorites so far.
I also watch Celebrity Apprentice. That show bugs me and yet I still am glued. Because when it's good it is good.
Papa loves The Walking Dead, Revolution, NCIS, NCIS LA, Person of Interest, and shows like that.....he likes Ax Man and those shows. But he loves westerns, MASH and Fox news, Bill O'Reilly, and some of those.
The life of the retired. At least until softball season starts. Have a great night!
