Evil is a word to describe the absence of Good.... just that simple. Just like darkness is the absence of light.... death is the absence of life. Light and good exist.... evil and darkness don't have an actual existence. My son once said to me if God created everything.... he must have created evil too. But he didn't. People chose to step away from God (the light/life) which plunged them into darkness/death. Declaring independence will result in evil because apart from God you can only draw upon yourself! Apart from God means apart from the light. People blame God for everything evil that happens. He is not to blame..... we, as a people, are. When we declared independence from God.... we walked away from good... from the light. Do you see it?

O LORD, thank you for not leaving me in darkness. Your Word lights my path and your Son, the Light of the World, lights my life. Thank you for not leaving me alone to find my way. In Jesus' name. Amen.
