New Beginning!

As we leave 2009 and enter 2010.... give thought about your life, your destiny, your children, your relationship with God. Ever wonder how to be "saved". I'm giving you the answer....

1. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and you cannot save yourself from your punishment.

2. Repent of your sin.

(Repentence is not a promise to do better; it is a change of mind, a change of heart and it results in a change in action)

3. If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9)

If you have done these things, God has forgiven you as he said. He has forgiven you of all your sins and cast them into the sea of forgetfulness to be remembered no more! Did you hear that...all of your sins! God has now given you a new start and a clean slate. Jesus said, "go and sin no more".

YOU ARE SAVED!

It is not based on your feelings or on your circumstances. It is based on God's Word. God has promised you eternal life starting RIGHT NOW if you have done these things. You are now a new creature in Christ, old things are passed away, behold all things are new.

2 Cor 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Facebook, Dog Whisperer, and reading.... yawn.

Can you believe this? I don't have a lot to say! Seriously! Nothing happened the rest of yesterday. Made plans to go over to Jake and Patty's tonight to bring in the New Year! That should be fun! We love those two! Not sure if anyone else is coming or not. Otherwise I caught up on Facebook's cafe, farmville, farmtown, and island. Those are my main games. Love them! Watched some TV.... the Dog Whisperer in Australia. Made papa a pasta, chicken and veggie dish for dinner. Stayed awake til 12:30 reading. Exciting life huh? See why I actually have nothing to say? Plus we have no plans for today!

Mom is getting better! Papa took her some burgers and visited yesterday for awhile after he dropped off some kids. I'm glad. Papa is coughing a lot. He has a dr appt next week anyway. I am doing really good! Coughing some.... just enough for the cough to let me know he is still around.... but for the most part doing so much better! Thanks for your prayers! I really appreciate them!

Here are some past December 31st pictures.....1980 Friends Scott Oliphant, and the twins Wayne and Randy George celebrate the twins birthday and New Years!

Expect showers Saturday and by Sunday afternoon some some sun breaks. Light showers continue at times into next week. Have a great day!

all is gone, all is quiet

Andrew and Ryan's first snowman 12-30-2003 from that snowfall! lol!
12-30-2006 Cute pictures.... Jared is 8 months old here and Tara with her family!

Good afternoon! I swear I don't give these kids sleeping pills! We did celebrate New Years last night so we got to bed at midnight. I don't know what time papa woke up.... Dylan woke up after 9, me about 9:15.... Maddie and Parker around 9:30 ... and of course we had to wake up Andrew and Lauren at 10:30 because they needed to get home! All is gone, all is quiet. I've already cleaned the toyroom, den, and livingroom! Not bad for them being gone an hour!

We had such a good day yesterday! Parker took a shower and then the girls did. Thought this was so cute of the girls!!!! Settle down, nothing shows! Dylan, Maddie, Lauren and I went to Red Apple and got a few things. Then we got home and Parker and Dylan played Man vs. Food.... their own version. Didn't quite understand it because they didn't time it or see who could eat the most. lol. They just told the other they could eat a whole pizza, made a bet and called it a game. I knew they could eat a whole pizza each! Especially Parker... that is why we call him the "pizza pig". He loves pizza!
Andrew ended up hooking up the wii at the kitchen counter. That's where he's been most of the time. We did take him and a friend to youth group last night. He loves youth group... not so sure his friend liked it.
Maddie spent her time taking tons of pictures of herself. Some were soooo weird! She is a funny girl! All my grandkids make me laugh! Andrew is the most serious now because he is a boy and he IS almost 14! He made the girls take out the Sound of Music CD they were singing to when we picked up his friend and quit singing. He didn't want us to embarrass him. I SO remember my kids at that age!!!! So they quietly watched a movie. Parker made us laugh this morning. Papa told him by eating the chocolate covered cherry he was going to poop a cherry.... Parker said "As long as it's covered in chocolate!". Funny kid! My poor cat and dog are wore out and sleeping! They love having the kids here! But they sleep like rocks once they are gone! ;D

We stayed up and watched a movie...Mall Cop! Even the girls loved it.... they had seen it before. It was funny. Lauren was about done for by 11:30. When she is done.... she is done! Dylan went to bed before 12 too... not asleep though.... playing with his cell phone.Maddie waited for 12 playing her DS.....At 12 me, Maddie, Parker, and Andrew had a toast! Then we went to bed. Took awhile to settle the old Parkster down.... but him and Andrew were in bed by 12:30.

Weather to Expect: Welcome to Wednesday.
Expect scattered showers early then sun breaks by the afternoon.
As we ring in the New Year another round of rain hits the Puget Sound for a soggy start to 2010.
Look for rain showers and breezy conditions New Years Day, with a wet weekend to follow. 2010 brings fresh powder for the mountains. Showers today will bring 3"-6" of new snow and a winter storm watch is in effect for Thursday morning through Thursday night for the north and west slopes of the cascades. This could make holiday travel a little tricky.
Have a great day!

spending the night

It is almost 8 a.m. and Maddie just woke up. Lauren, Andrew, Parker and Dylan are still asleep. Papa just snuck out of the house to go get blood work done.... had to do fasting tests. So it is still pretty quiet. Good time to post!

I wake with a headache every morning. A sinus headache. They treated me with an antibiotic for a sinus infection. It did nothing. I am sure all my problems are coming from my sinus's. Yesterday morning I took daytime sinus medication and felt great all day. Coughed a bit but for the majority of the day I was good! Doctor.... heal thyself!

Yesterday Dylan and Maddie came over and we rearranged the den and the kids played video games. Then I dropped off Maddie at Amanda's and Dylan & I took Mary to the eye doctor to get her fielding test and see the doctor. Took forever. She was not happy.... but was thrilled with the improvement of her vision!!! Met Amanda at Dairy Queen .... got food to go... and the kids ate it on the way home. Tara called on the way home.... there was a bad accident at the end of our road by the bridge... backing up traffic. We had to wait on the bridge about 10 minutes before we could get on our road. Kids played Wii and stuff the rest of the night. Papa got home and made them ice cream desserts!

Maddie said to tell you she got up to go potty this morning and papa said "good morning" and he always kids so she thought he was kidding so she looked outside and it was light out! It was funny!

Just going to hang out today. Not sure what is happening. Papa's hours are getting cut way back at walmart. He'll ride it out for a bit because that always happens in January... but he said he will say something if it keeps on too long. Everyone is getting hours cut. He could use the rest. I'm getting no work for the schools. That sucks. I still put out resumes when I see jobs other places. Never know what God has in mind for me.

Well...hope your day is full of laughter and love! I know mine will be!!! God bless you!

Weather to Expect: A very cold start for most of us today. Also this morning, watch out for freezing fog.
Our next weather system will move in to the coast by late morning and then in to Seattle by this evening.
Showers follow Wednesday, with more rain for your New Year's Eve, especially south.
2010 starts on a rainy note! Look for breezy conditions on Friday with a wet weekend to follow. Highs stay in the mid 40s.
The mountains will see some rain and snow by late Tuesday bringing three to six inches of new snow.
Have a great day everyone!

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens....

It has been colder than cold lately! Freezing every night and not warming up enough to melt it during the day. The dog and cat only go out to do their business... then they are back in the house! The roads are icy too.... 20 car pile up down towards Gig Harbor yesterday! Nine injuries. Be careful if you are driving this morning.... or walking!
Nothing turned out as planned yesterday. I had a little relapse.... which papa and I both do periodically with this darn cold! It was my turn yesterday. I started coughing and couldn't seem to get rid of it. No fun.... little coughing fits.... big coughing fits.
So sadly, we didn't end up going anywhere! No church, no lunch, no Betty's, no nothing! After church we were going to lunch and then to Gary & Betty's (Brad's parents) for an open house. I was looking forward to it and to seeing Jolyn. Coughing fits just doesn't fit in any of the places I planned to attend.

Right now it is 3:00 in the morning and I had a nightmare that got me out of bed. I cannot watch crime shows for two days straight with Papa anymore (CSI, NCIS, Criminal Minds, The Closer, etc.... especially about children!). Papa is asleep in his chair (he gets a back ache in bed sometimes so moves from bed to chair and back) so I got up too. I've only slept 3 hours so I need some more sleep for sure!
Having company tonight... Dylan, Maddie, Lauren, Andrew and Parker! Yippee! I will pick them up after I take Mary to her doctor appointment this afternoon. We'll have fun tonight!

Last night two of my favorite movies EVER were on.....Watched a little bit of both but papa wasn't into either. He would have watched them had I insisted.... but why torture the man to my singing (which I have to do when watching either of these movies!!!) I love this nasty woman.... she reminds me of someone I know....Well, I don't have nothing else to write about. May lose a few followers this boring week. Sorry. I have lost a couple readers.... but my faithful followers stick with me! In case I come up with something interesting to say? Maybe? My friend Dena has this on her blogger:I love them.... but my kids wouldn't think it's funny. You see, they think I will blog about them and their business. I try not to do it unless it really concerns me too. I try not to share much of their business. How do you think I do?

Have a wonderful day and stay warm!!! God bless you and yours! xoxo

Weather to Expect:
A chance of light rain at times Monday. Overnight lows range from the 20s south and north, to the mid 30s in the city. There's a chance those chilly lows could bring some freezing rain south. Monday highs will be about normal, in the middle 40s, and southeast winds range 5-15 mph.
Tuesday sees increasing rain by evening.
Showers follow Wednesday with more vigorous rain developing late Thursday and New Years Day Friday.
Highs all week should remain in the mid 40s, with lows dropping to the mid to high 30s.

Baby, it's cold outside!

My picture of the day was taken 12-27-2004. I love the look Maddie is giving her papa! She loves her papa.

It is very cold. I let Toby out and he took off running off the deck and all I could hear was crunch, crunch, crunch. It was funny. He wasn't out long.... neither was the cat. The back yard never thawed from yesterday.

Speaking of yesterday. We did absolutely nothing. Oh, wait, I take that back. We put some roofing material on our deck.... to stop people from slipping and sliding. Then we did nothing. Today we are going to clean, go to church, and then I don't know what. But something. I refuse to take my decorations down yet. I'm still enjoying them very much! Even though a few strands of lights burned out. lol!

That's all I got for ya today! Hope you have a wonderful day, drive careful, and smile and love one another. Life is soooo short. Seriously.
Weather to Expect:
Most areas will see clear skies through Sunday morning.
With lows in the 20s and 30s, some roads will be icy.
A weak weather system puts a chance of light rain in the forecast Monday and Tuesday. Expect a wetter pattern for the end of the week.

Christmas is done....til next year!

Well, it really is over! Now time for a mini vacation! Not going any where... just hanging out... me and the papa this weekend. Sure is going to be quiet!

Christmas was nice. Heard from all the kids and grandkids! Kevon and Meghan came over with a wonderful gift and we visited for quite awhile! They had also gone to see Grandma (mom). Heather and Tara called grandma too and that meant so much to her! The family doesn't understand how little phone calls and visits mean so much to her!!!!

We cooked Christmas dinner and took it over to mom. Very nice surprise... brother David was there visiting! He looks good and is doing so good! We worry about him but it sounds like he has so much figured out and is keeping it together. He is much stronger than we are giving him credit for. Lanny took a picture of the 3 of us.....

And of course.... it had taken awhile to get a good one because David is rarely serious for pictures as shown below....Mom looked better.... she got dressed for the day and wasn't as pale... fever gone. Still pray for her please. She certainly isn't over it!
That was our Christmas. We stayed quite awhile over there. Mama heard from all of her kids and some of her grandkids so she was happy. Hope we all didn't tire her out too much! Came home and just chilled the rest of the night. Same things as we're doing today. Easy to do when it is freezing outside!!!! Everything is white with frost again this morning. brrrr!

Hope you all have a great day!!!! God bless you all! xoxo

Weather to Expect:
A cold, frosty night ahead with another mostly sunny afternoon the day after Christmas. Saturday morning lows will be in the 20s to low 30s. Saturday highs will be in the upper 30s to mid 40s.
A weak disturbance offshore will increase clouds Sunday and a chance of sprinkles will develop late, mainly on the Olympic peninsula.
Monday there is the risk of a light sprinkle.
A better chance of a few rain showers will be on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A much wetter pattern develops for the end of next week.

Our Christmas Eve Service at church!

Christmas Eve services were alot of fun last night. I really enjoyed myself and it was great to see our friends. Pastor Mike did a great job with the music, Pastor Ty did a great job with the kids and the candy canes, and Pastor Barry did a great job with his message. I posted some videos.... singing.... and then the 12 days of Christmas when doing joy. It was fun except we were in Pastor Barry's group which was the Partridge in a Pear tree.... so we were up and down flapping our wings alot! It was fun. We did it while discussing joy on the advent wreath. At the end of the service we sang Away in a Manger and Silent Night by candle light. It was sweet. Here are some videos I took to share....

Froze out last night! Brrrrr. Nothing compared to the Midwest! Blizzard in the Dakota's where my family lives! They are also having a white Christmas in Oklahoma! Our phone is out this morning. We have the worst phone/cable/internet service in the world. Broadstripe stinks. Always going out! (Papa just fixed it...hit the reset key in the back of our box!)

Meghan called this morning. They are stopping by after they go visit Grandma Langager and on their way to her mom's. Our Christmas will be quiet. We have our turkey in. Then we'll take some dinner over to mom's. Poor mama. She's been sick several Christmas's in a row!!! Just got off the phone with Dylan and Maddie! They had a wonderful Christmas morning and Eve and were telling me about their presents! Well, papa is going to make us breakfast and that is about it! Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!!!! xoxo God be the center!

I tried to upload Pastor Barry's Christmas Eve service. It is about 5 minutes.... took too much time. I'll try later.... it's very good!

Well.... heard from all the kids! Nice to talk with them all! Kevon and Meghan just left. Nice visit with them! Best go and get the dinner ready for us and mom! xoxo

It's Christmas Eve!!!!

Here is the Doppler radar in case you are trying to follow Santa tonight!!!!

There are so many things floating around in my head this Christmas Eve. So many things I am sure about in life and so many things I am not sure about.

Would you die for someone? Do you love someone that much? Well... Jesus loves you that much. Something to think about this Christmas. I know for sure why Jesus was born. God saw we were going to die because of sin. And because of His love he chose to send someone else to bear my punishment... to die my death. So Jesus was born. He came to be my substitute and when He was nailed on the cross He died for me and He died for you. He died my death, paid my penalty. That's the only alternative God had. Either He punishes me for sin ... and that's eternal punishment in hell or else He substitutes someone else in our place and they pay our penalty. And that's exactly what Jesus came to do, be our substitute. Not because He deserved it but because I deserved it and He loves me that much.

There are so many I would die for.... in a heartbeat! I am not sure if anyone on this earth loves me that much. I know some love me ( or some say they do and some don't say it but I think they do ).... but I don't think that love is strong enough to die for me. Maybe Papa does.

Pretty heavy stuff, huh? Continuing with more heavy stuff.... I am really worried about my mom. Lanny took her some things yesterday and visited for a while. Then I went over last night and took some cornbread with honey butter from Ryan and Amanda and some Nyquil from me. Please, Lord, make my mama better!!!! Talked to mom a minute ago and she slept pretty good and is feeling one notch better. Which she'll take. It is a very slow climb to feeling healthy with this cold! Trust me I know!

Prayers for the cold list that I am aware of: papa, mom, me, maddie, joel, amanda, meghan, lois and husband Don, and lots of friends!

I know it will be a very lonely Christmas. Mama is sick and won't be over so it will be just Papa and I. I am thankful we have each other! Still making a turkey so it smells like Christmas! Tonight we are going to church. That will be nice. Papa will watch the old Christmas Carol. Those are 2 Christmas Eve traditions we have. Kind of wish it would snow but it is too nice out. lol! This was us in 1990 going to Libby's. That used to be a tradition.Yesterday was a good day. Stayed in jamas all day! Cleaned, watched some TV, Lauren took a 3 hour nap while Andrew and I watched the saddest show. I cried and he got angry. It was about animal rescue... and how they busted this home in Detroit that was doing dog fights. The pitbull they rescued was so sad looking. Could hardly walk and they had put duct tape around his mouth so he couldn't fight back and hurt the dog they were training! So he was a bloody mess. I cannot believe people do these things to animals! My mind cannot fathom hurting an animal! I cried!

Some pics from the past two days.... dogs waiting to be fed!

The message from post-it's on my computer screen I found from Andrew one morning when I woke up....Busting Lauren playing with the little Christmas tree....Lauren loving on the dogs...Those pictures make me smile! I changed my Christmas background for the last time this Christmas season! Hope you like it.... seems "cheery" to me! Maybe a few jokes to finish because this should be a happy post! Here are some Santa ones....

Some snow ones....
Some tree ones....
Here is a redneck Christmas tree....

I don't have much to write about! I pray you all have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy your time with loved ones! I will enjoy my time with papa! He is off both jobs til Monday! It will be nice! In case I never told my blogger readers before.... I love you! Merry Christmas!

Weather to Expect:
Some areas of fog and chilly temperatures as you get out the door on this Christmas Eve. We are starting out in the 20s and 30s, so some icy spots are possible on the roads. We will see the low clouds and fog turn to mostly sunny skies this afternoon with high temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s.
High pressure will continue to hold over Western Washington through Christmas Day. This will keep us dry with mostly sunny skies during the afternoon.
We stay dry on Saturday with some more sun before a weak system moves in on Sunday. There is the chance of a few showers on Sunday with 40 degree temperatures holding through the weekend.
