My friends!

Today is Sunday again! Another week gone by.  Another week with no insulin change. The nurses and doc say I am doing better. Really good at checking my glucose readings and sending them in. Woo hoo. I started at 10 mg in the evening...now I am at 10 in the morning and 20 in the evening. Just getting frustrated and defeated. I thought there would be changes by now. I thought I would feel better by now. I am just tired of it.

Enough of that.  My cousins had their yearly family and dog picnic.  Lots of dogs there.  I wasn't feeling up to the drive and crowd.  But I did get a few pictures I cropped and am posting of my family. My brother and his wife Connie:

and my sister Lois with her husband Don and their daughter Denise!

I heard it was a nice time.

Sunday my friend Veronica came to visit!  It was awesome.  We went over so she could see Ryan, Amanda, Andrew and mostly Lauren.  She loves Lauren.  She loves Maddie too and we stopped to see her and family but nobody was home. :(  We stopped at Dairy Queen because she was starving and then came home and visited out in the trailer for a few hours. I was so tired.  She slept out in the trailer.  Papa made us breakfast and she had to take off. It was so wonderful to see her!  When we get together we laugh so much!!!!  She is in her 20's and I call her my little liberal. I am in my 50's and uber conservative! We are like night and day but we love each other so much and will be friends for life! Here are pictures through the years I've known her!

We met at work at the Preschool!
We had the last coed Softball Game.  The team won by 30 points the first game. The second they lost by over 10. They seemed pretty done by the second game. I think the season ended just in time. I will miss it. It was fun keeping score for the team. I am good at it! lol! And Lanny used a tabled to keep score, outs and innings too.  It helped so much because people ask me the score while I am still writing and he has it right there and answers for me.  Plus they are keeping track in the dugout. Not really sure if I am needed, now that I think about it. lol!

Another bff had a birthday! We met at the Nazarene church and have stuck together for 20 years! I love her so much. We laugh so much too! She celebrated with her twin. Happy birthday Sharon!!!!

Friday our other bff's celebrated their 50th anniversary!  Cannot believe they have been married so long. We have been friends with them since we started going to the Bible Baptist church in Poulsbo. We left the church with them and stayed together visiting and attending churches. Then they left us and started the retirement life. So we've been friends with them for 26 years!

Now on to Seattle Seahawks talk! They have great fans!

Todd and Sarah Palin are Seahawk fans

Drew Carey...part owner of Seattle Sounders and Seahawk fan!

Jim (played Jesus in Passion of the Christ and plays on Person of Interest)

Sir Mix-a-lot

Macklemore and Will Farrell

What happens when a 49er fan asks Macklemore to sign his jersey. lol

We watched our Seahawks beat the Chicago Bears big time on Friday night. Even our cat watches Seahawk football!

I don't want to brag, but Russell Wilson is such an amazing qb!  Not only is he great at what he does, but he is also a generous caring person. He spends time at hospitals (no one knows when he is coming) and other places.
My classmates daughter, Julia, was visited by Russell Wilson and rapper Macklemore.

He cares about his team and teaching them and encouraging them. He puts his heart and life into the team and the fans. So does Coach Pete Carroll.  He loves the #12 fans!!!!

Done for the day! I hope you have a great week!

Ketchup time

I haven't written for a while. I had two posts on birthdays but haven't written anything. It is Sunday morning. Parker and Lauren spent the night. She is watching tv so it is hard to stay focused on what I am writing.

Whoa I dropped the ball and got sidetracked. Didn't finish this post.  It sure was nice having Parker and Lauren here.

Let's see if I can catch up. The girls softball team had their campout. Heather, Don and boys came over for it too!!!! We went Friday night for a little while and then Lauren stayed the night and her and Ryan went with us in the morning back to the campsite. Papa made us breakfast and it was sooo good.  Everyone went on a hike to waterfalls while I stayed back and watched the fire and campsite. Papa went to the store. The hike was more than they expected but they had a good time. Lauren liked having her dad along too.

We came home and Parker played with Scruffy a lot! Good buddies!

Heather and family picked him up the next day.... pics of her and her goofy family!!!

Not much happened the rest of the week. The girls a softball game.  I got to see Alyssa. That always puts a smile on my face.

Andrew and Lauren were at camp...

Andrew was a leader, counselor, director, etc.... and this was Lauren's first year at camp! They had a lot of rain and thunder/lightning storms but it didn't stop the fun. Lauren loved it and is going back next year!

They keep increasing my insulin but it doesn't do much good. I am staying away from carbs and cutting back on my food. I am exercising. I have lost 5 pounds.  Still feeling yuk.  Hopefully there will be a change soon.

Have a great week.  That is my catch up with Joyce.
