We want you to meet the new addition to our family. We've been tossing the idea of getting a cat for awhile (we wanted potty trained and outdoor as well as indoor and cuddly!!!) Well... I've been browsing on Craig's list and found this one in Poulsbo. She is 2 years old and when the neighbors moved away they left her and another cat behind. Sad. She is very affectionate...not sure about Toby and visa versa. Maddie and Dylan were with us after church to pick her up and they got to come home and help her settle in. They'll never see a pet at their house so this is the next best thing. It's not the husky he wanted...but, oh well. They named her Punkin'. She is a sweety. Hope her and Toby get along!

Here are pictures that were taken from September 30, 2000 on up to last year! I hope you are enjoying the strolls down memory lane! I am!

Sunday morning!

Yesterday was a great party for mom. My deviled eggs didn't last very long again! There were about 60 people that came to honor mom. It was so nice. Great food, great location, great people, and lots of fun and laughs! Couldn't ask for anything more. I made a video slide show that played the whole time of family members and Libby decorated so nice with pumpkins, flowers, and pictures! Mom loved it all! Came home to relax for a bit before going to KidStuf for rehearsal. It went good except for technical issues...then I get a phone call this morning that Andy (head of tech) is in the hospital with kidney stones! Yikes! Please pray for us this morning!!!!! Also.... yesterday was prayer for Dylan, Uncle Mike and Lester! Sorry, I forgot to put it on...today is Grandma Wave.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DYLAN!

Our grandson turned 10 years old today!!! Sometimes it seems hard to believe. It seems Karla just turned 10! He has been such a blessing to this family. There is truly no one like Dylan! We love him very much!
Yesterday was a good day. Took my mom to breakfast at Sherry's. Had a great visit as usual! Fixed her voice mail and showed her how to use it. She didn't mean to but she left the funniest greeting. I love it. And I updated her "speed-dialing". She was happy when I left. Finally finished the video for her. Need to test it. It is 15 minutes long! She has a huge family! Karla didn't need me so I didn't go to Dylan's party last night. Just hung out around here. Today is the big party for mom. I'm very excited about it! My deviled eggs are cooking now. Tonight is KidStuf rehearsal. Talked with Kurt on the phone last night brainstorming about changes to be made to improve the program. That's all folks!

We go way back on September 28 memories!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!

Today is my mom's birthday! She turns 80! Wow. We are having a big party for her tomorrow that she is very excited about. This morning I am taking her to breakfast and then Don and Lois should be here around noon-ish and staying the weekend. I may go help Karla with Dylan's kids birthday party tonight if she needs it. Tons of kids coming. Yesterday was a another great day. I went and met with Pastor Paul. He helped me alot with KidStuf concerns and prayed with me. Then I met Tara for breakfast. It was so good...we just lingered for the longest time visiting. She was almost late for picking up Riley! Jordy and Riley got their haircuts that afternoon. But the biggest news was JORDAN got her chihuahua!!! (sorry Jordy...I put Riley earlier and just fixed it...thanks Tara!). They picked it up last night and Jordan cried she was so happy!!! Can't wait to meet her and see the girls hair! I was up in the middle of the night instant messaging with Meghan. That was fun. Slept in til after 6 and better hussle. Today we pray for mom, Andrew, Carter and Grant! Also pray for our friend, Ron Davison. He is still in so much pain and struggling with that knee! And pray for Sharon as his caretaker. That is a hard situation... nine weeks now! Have a great day!

Switching over........

I am thinking about changing my website location.  Very upset with "freewebs"...which I paid for by the way!  Let me know what you think of my new location... go to:
http://mamssite.blogspot.com/

day 2 on this site...how do you like it?

Well, how do you like my site? Do you like it better? Is it easier to open? Lanny can view it from work...but not the pictures. Hi baby! My other site didn't open up until after noon. Never heard a word from them, either. Didn't take my shower or dress until 3 pm. I worked most the day on this slideshow presentation for mom's birthday party on Saturday. She has a huge family! 6 kids, 17 grandkids, and 17 great grandchildren! Lots of pictures! It should be fun! Met Papa at Karla's and we took the kids to DQ while Karla and Joel went to a movie together. Ran to Six Star and saw Cyndi Gilman. Talked to her for a long time. She is a sweetheart and I haven't seen her for years. Then Papa went home and Dylan and I did homework. He is a smart cookie! This morning I have to get my glasses fixed and meet with Pastor Paul about KidStuf. Papa is still doing good...looks like the infection is healing. His only problem now is bandaid's and tape give him a rash!!! Go figure! Heather liked this segment of my blog so I will try to remember to do it every day.... Today we pray for my cousin Bob DeLay (he has so much back pain!). Yesterday...if you want to catch up a day was Don V., Aunt Paula, Kristi Ludwig, and Karen Wren! I love that picture of Lauren sleeping above. That girl could go to sleep anywhere. Amanda could make a slideshow just of those pics! Too funny! Have a great day!

Let's try this.........

Well.... I am about done with freewebs. It wasn't free.... I paid for a year and they are jerking me around. Very frustrating. Let's see how this works for me. It WILL be free.
Everything is going well. Our family is all fine and healthy. Good always comes from bad... and we have witnessed that with the way our relationships with the kids have grown closer. What a blessing. I know Papa is happier than he has been in a long time. Karla came over yesterday with Maddie and the little girl she watches. Then Sandy Lingo Foster came by for a visit with her grandson. That was nice. Baked fish for dinner and watched some tv. That was about it! Well, gonna go shower and nap. Woke up at 2:00 in the morning. I am tired.

Papa, Fall, and cleaning!

Papa had a good day yesterday.  He had to go to the Bangor doctor and nurse and get released and they put a 10 pound weight limit on him to lift.  He didn't do too much all day.  It was nice Heather called him at work and Tara and Ryan called last night to see how his first day back was.  That meant a lot to him. But I know he is happy to be back with the guys.  His big boss, Debi, even drove over to say hello to him and see how he is doing.  She'd also visited at the hospital.  Nice to know you're appreciated.  Mark Amdall (one of Lanny's old bosses) once said that Lanny was the only employee to never give him a hard time when asked to do something.  While he was at work I spent the day busy.  I sent out 9 resume's!  And I spent most of the day cleaning the livingroom, den and diningroom real good and hanging my fall decorations.  Amanda reminded me it was the first day of fall. That was kind of fun. Kevon came by after work and fixed the leak above my front doorway where the deck roof meets our roof.  He also cleaned the gutters which we really appreciated.  He stayed over 2 hours... a lot of it was Lanny & I visiting with him in the driveway.  It got really cold!  Did some laundry yesterday and doing more today and I am working on my bedroom! I'm putting up darker curtains and washing bedding and putting on a different comforter. Lots of good stuff.  UPS picked up the DISH receivers yesterday so I am not chained to the house...but Karla is coming over this morning and with all my work I doubt I am going any where.  Hope you have a wonderful day today and may God bless you and shine on you!!!!

9-25-2007 from freewebs

Any day I get to see family is a wonderful day!  And when God answers prayer it is great.  Thanks for praying for my hip....no more pain this morning. It was much better yesterday too!  We went to KidStuf. Went pretty good!  Lots of parents are coming in now! That is awesome to see. Tara brought the girls again. I made them a KidStuf cd. They love the songs! After church we went to Riley's game. Karla and the kids came. The other team was pretty good. I forgot my camera. Came home and chilled for a bit before turning around and going back to the church for a "graciously mandatory" meeting with the pastors, board members, and department leaders.  Mike Best sat with me. It was about expanding to 3 services until we can build.  We had over 950 people last weekend. Almost 200 at the Saturday night service alone!  And almost 100 in KidStuf with kids and adults.  We are seeing amazing growth. God is working in our church!  Came home and went to bed early...well, before 10. Lanny is getting ready for work.  Makes me sad because he hasn't been out of my site for more than a few hours and we are going to miss each other so much.  Silly after being married almost 23 years! The plus is I can get some major housework done with him not here!  I am glad about that....and do some job hunting. I have to stick around for UPS to pick up our DISH receivers so I'll at least be home all day if anyone wants to call and interrupt me and give me a break!

The girls, motorhomes, and hips!

Well, we took Jord and Dylan to WalMart and exchanged them for a Riley-girl and Maddie!  We went and looked at motorhomes.  Not a great idea.  The girls had a blast and we saw some amazing ones...but all that getting in and out of them messed up my hip.  I don't want to start having hip problems now!  It hurt so bad last night I couldn't go to rehearsal and took some tylenol with codiene and went to bed at 5! I didn't sleep for awhile though. I am reading that book "Plain Truth" by Jodi Picoult Karla let me borrow. It is really good!  This morning my hip hurts still and my low back....but I have to be at KidStuf this morning. I won't be walking around like normal though.  Not sure if I'll get to Riley's game :(    and I am suppose to go to a mandatory leadership meeting at the church tonight.  Pray for me.  Thanks!  Anyway, took the girls to lunch and to the park to play and then home. Got some great pictures I will make into albums and post.  I have awesome grandchildren.
