I love kids... can you tell????

Papa is staying home today. Seeing if he can find out what is going on with our dishwasher. It broke! That's not good.

Praying mom is feeling good enough to come home today. She seemed a bit stronger when I talked to her last night. We talked a long time. They gave her some sleeping medication the night before and it really kicked her butt.  Karla went and visited with her.  Karla's dad (my ex) was there to get a
cardiac catheterization procedure. Dave needs a valve replaced and may also need bypass surgery probably in January). So Karla was at the hospital with him.  He even went up to visit mom when he was done. Gave her a big hug and talked for a bit. That surprised me. She was happy to see him.
Hoping to see her today. I had Makoa all day yesterday and he has a runny nose. I didn't want to take him up there.
I love my cat. I do. But why does she have to do this when I am getting ready for bed? Doesn't she know I need the sink?
I had a great time with Makoa yesterday.  I had missed him. He makes me laugh. He didn't get into any Christmas stuff I have out and loved the den and all the toys and stuff in there.  Here are some pictures Angela took the past couple weeks....

Shopping with family! He looks angry when he says cheese! lol!

Staying warm!

His first snow!

Hoping my brother comes today. His room is ready but apparently he isn't. I even put a "Singing Christmas Tree" in his room. That should scare him! lol!  In some ways we never grow up!

I truly believe all children are a special gift from God. There are no accidents. He has each one planned.  I've seen my kids plan to stop with one... God says "No... here is another one." And amazing blessings they are!
Well.... just I guess I'll go... do my devotion on my other site. Have a great day and enjoy life! xoxo

Not a lot of good news... um, actually none.

Sometimes I wish my blogger friends lived closer. Some days I could just use them!!!!

Craziness. I tell ya, craziness.  My whole day changed in a minute. Mom wasn't feeling well. Libby took her to the hospital. I picked up Lois and went to the hospital.  We were there for about 4 hours and they told us she is dehydrated and has a U.T.I.... so they started treating her with an antibiotic and some fluids in an I.V. and that she could go home in about an hour. So... an hour passed and the doctor said they saw a spot on her lung... pneumonia.  They decided to keep her over night to treat it. I'm glad. Whatever makes her better!!!

I was really sad to look at my friends, Julie from North Carolina, blog when I got home. She lost her mama to a 15 year battle with cancer. Breaks my heart... but rejoicing she is in Heaven. I cried for her. I know the pain of losing a parent.  It is one of the hardest things to go through. It is a like a cord has been broken.  Please keep her and her dad and family in your prayers.  You can read about her mom... so beautiful: http://faithgraceandjoy.blogspot.com/

I think my mama is ready to go. Today at the hospital she said she feels dad with her more and more. She doesn't hear him speak but just feels his presence. I don't know about all that... but my mom is a strong Christian woman and she believes he is going to show her the way to her Heavenly home.  She doesn't have a death wish or anything like that... but I know she is so tired. And ready. I don't even know what to say.

These little snow circles made me smile. I picked up Lois and it is a little thing Don had done. Didn't know he was a snow artist!

Well... I didn't get to church. I didn't get my house clean (I will have to get up at 4 a.m. to prepare my house for Makoa!), and I didn't get to see Justin and Denika. I contacted Justin on the way to the hospital so I am not even sure if they came over on this side of the ferry or stayed in Lynnwood. Lois and I stopped at the restaurant on the way home and peeked in... no one there. So sorry we missed them... but nothing we could do. :(

I love this song. He always makes a way.

God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength
For each new day
He will make a way
He will make a way
By a roadway in the wilderness
He'll lead me
And rivers in the desert will I see
Heaven and earth will fade
But His Word will still remain
He will do something new today

Well... going to get ready for bed. I am exhausted!  My heel is killing me and I need to take my dog to the vet. How can I do everything? God is still there for us and will always be.

GRAND KID MANIA!!!!

Ok... 2nd attempt at posting today.  Papa shut the power off for some reason and I lost everything. Oh well.... needed to exercise my fingers anyway, right?

Today has been a good day!  I smell turkey cooking... we a few days behind.  We like turkey. I believe papa is trying to surprise me by putting up outside Christmas lights because I hear the ladder moving and some hammering.  Usually he gets Andrew to help... but when he was here we were busy.

Andrew and Lauren got to sleep over yesterday! We played some Sequence and games... had dinner, great talking, tv time, etc... It was really nice.

Andrew really does smile.... really he does! lol

You would think this huge Viking Donut would make him smile!

Those donuts are so nummy... Andrew ate 2!

Lauren looks so cute decorating with me!

Working on my snowman collection!

Salt and Pepper shakers!
This morning we had to wake them to go to Tara's. We were going to go to Don's birthday last night... but I am so bad at night driving and Papa wanted to spend time with them too and had to work last night ... so we waited until this morning to go. We picked up Dylan and Maddie on the way and two dozen donuts. Had a great visit!

All 10 of the grandkids! Took a bunch of pictures and this was the best one... even though Jared wasn't looking!  It is hard with 10 kids making them all look, keep eyes open, smile, no bunny ears, no crossed eyes, etc....

Jared is so strong!

Me... and my pride and joy and reasons I live!
After we said our goodbyes we met up with Ryan and Amanda at WalMart and turned the kids over to them.  Then we went to mom's and changed her sheets and put a new heated mattress pad on the bed for her and cranked it to high. When I called to check on her... she was taking a nap comfy cozy in her bed. ;D  It's a gift from my brother Doug.... Tara picked it up yesterday and we got it from Tara and gave it to mom.  Whatever it takes for mama, right?
Dropped off Dylan and Maddie and came home.

Tomorrow we are meeting Justin and Denika (our Marine) for lunch. They are only here from North Carolina until Tuesday. I am glad they are making time to come over and see us (mostly grandma). Pray she is feeling up to going!!!!

Got this great shelf from Amanda that is going to work out great for decorations and to keep Makoa away!  I need to go work on them, turn on Christmas music and wait for the turkey to finish! Great evening!  Hope yours is going great too!  xoxo

Thanksgiving is over... but being grateful never ends! So I am continuing on my thankful list at the bottom. ;D

We left a little early to take dinner to my mom. She had decided to stay home. There was still snow at Don and Lois's and she don't do snow. And she didn't want to go with us.... too cold and too far and too many kids... she just wanted to stay home. So we took her her favorite turkey wings from Tara's and lots of goodies.  Here she is tearing into the wing. ;D
I hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving with loved ones, good food, lots of laughs, and much to be thankful for!!!

That is enough pictures for today.... God bless you! xoxo
