Let it snow! Tuesday 1-14

Yes, it is snowing.  Yes we have at least an inch from yesterday.  School was closed Monday and today.  But they have a lot more snow.  Karla and Amanda have 9 or 10 inches.  I love snow.  We go no where. And that is when I get the urge to go somewhere.  haha!  We're too old to play around or drive around!  I love snow.  I repeat.  I really do!

Well, as I said before I am not posting as much on facebook and writing more over here.

Sunday we watched the Seahawks lose.  That was really sad but I thank them for making this a fun year!  I was so happy they brought Marshawn Lynch back at the end of the season to play.  He was as amazing as always!!!  I loved the season even though we couldn't watch it with the volume on because our dog freaks out. High anxiety!  He growls, hides, and stresses out and keeps staring at us.  I feel bad for him.  It must be the sound of everyone cheering.  Even with the volume down he freaks out.

And after the game we had Sweet and Sour Chicken wings.  You can find the recipe on https://langagerfamilyrecipes.blogspot.com/   They are so goood! And Julienne potatoes.  One of our favorite dinners. He made extra for Kevon. His birthday was yesterday and if it stops snowing we will get them to him. One of his favorites too!  Plus papa is making Banana Pudding with vanilla wafers, bananas and vanilla pudding.  He likes it a lot.

We took some more Christmas decorations down.  Slowly but surely it is coming down.  The tree will be last because I am loving it and the beautiful colors.
Tonight papa is making corn dogs and tater tots.  Just for a fun dinner!

One of my favorite foods: lumpia!  Amanda make the best.  Lauren talked with me on the phone so we were looking at each other (facetime) because she wanted to show me she was eating lumpia and feeding some to her dog!  I was so jealous.  She knew I would be.  Bratty little person for sure! lol

Well, I best get done here.  My posts won't be as long because I am posting more often!

A few pictures now:

1-11-2020 Saturday

I am going to try and post my facebook stuff here instead. Some people look at this but not as many as probably sees my facebook.

Here are the photos I would have normally posted on FB.

Today would be my parents 73rd wedding anniversary.. I can't help but think of them and miss them.  Every year we acknowledged it and after my dad passed we would somehow do something with mom to celebrate...even if it was just going out to eat.  She loved that!

What a good day.  I went from being so sick last night. I had trouble breathing and then started feeling like I was going to puke.  I went to bed and kept a bucket next to my bed.  My face got so hot and my hands were so cold I put them on my face. I think what it was ...I had post nasal drip and was swallowing it and that may have done it. Lauren called and we talked ourselves to sleep on the phone until after 11:30 or so .
Today I woke up feeling good.  Papa put away more Christmas decorations.  I moved the phone over by the bike and moved things around. Rode my bike.  Folded laundry. Ordered some stuff from Amazon.  Kept a bit busy today. Yesterday I ordered a new mattress pad and pillows from MyPillow.com.  Well I will post a few more pictures ad call it a night until tomorrow.
can barely see the huge sub behind the transports. I took the picture from my house.

2020 Already

Today is January 4th of 2020, which means I have been away from my site for a very long time.
I looked back at the last time I had posted so much has changed but hasn't.  Let me see if I can journal our life.
Everyone is still alive and healthy.  Thank the Lord.  Andrew is working now for the Bellevue School District helping children.  He lives with 5 room mates and enjoys living across the sound near his college. He's doing great... just got done with a vacation drive to California with a friend.  I haven't talked to him but I bet he made a few stops at In and Out Burger. lol!
Lauren just got back from Eastern Washington spending the week with her dad.  He just moved up to his mom's from Florida. Lauren is very happy to have him close by again (well, only 5 hours).  She goes back to school the 6th.  Goes to the high school for band before she goes to Olympic College for Running Start. She is taking Photography, Spanish 2 and US History this quarter.  She keeps so busy  in band doing percussion now.
Madelyn (as she likes to be called now) is doing Running Start too and is taking Geology, French 2 and US History with Lauren.  She has also been working in the mall the past couple months. She really likes it.  She is not sure if she'll be there much longer because she was hired as holiday help.  I hope she can stay!
Dylan works at the same place but he is a supervisor there.  He will be starting back at the University of Washington in Seattle starting this month too. He worked alot during Christmas break.   Back to the commuting for him.
Jordy is still married and added another dog to their family.  Tyler is now working in Poulsbo and she works in Bremerton.
Riley and her Tyler broke up last month.  Health wise she is improving more and more.  She might actually get to play softball this year!
Parker moved to Port Orchard.  His room mates are terrible and fight all the time but he likes the area.  Not sure how long he will be able to live here though.  He is so patient but this is upsetting.
Joshua is doing great.  His football team went to state and won again!  They are good.  He is 15 now.  He will be getting a drivers license this year. Wow.
Jared is now 13 and is our baby.  But he is getting tall and growing fast!
Now Patrick is hard to keep up on.  After he finished his school last summer, him and Madi moved up with Payson.  Heather and Don fell in love with the baby.  He is so cute.  However Pat and Madi argued a lot and she went back to AZ with the baby for Christmas.  She has decided not to come back so there are a lot of broken hearts in Washington.  Every couple days things seem to change so every couple days with Pat so we will see what happens.  We are always praying.

Isn't he just a doll baby?  He will be missed.  I know how it hurts to have a little one around all the time, fall in love, and then they move away or a change is made.   It happened with Alexis and Makoa.  It is hard.
Our kids are all fine.  Raising kids and working.  Thank the Lord they are all healthy.
Papa and I are doing ok.  Aging isn't fun..  But it is what it is.  I've had some back and breathing problems.  I've had a lot of tests this past year.  I went to our emergency and they xrayed my lungs and chest,  did blood and urine tests, and stuff.  Everything turned out ok.  Sent me away another day for an ultrasound to make sure my gall bladder and stuff was ok.  Then I had to go and get a stress test done.  They did the IV instead of the tread mill.  Every thing came out fine. o the doctor has me with an inhaler.  Does nothing for my breathing. Good news is I am finally getting my blood sugar under control.  Just had the A1C done and I am at a 6.0!  Which is so great if you know anything about it.  I have a RN named Jayne who helps me with it by calling and figuring out what needs to be done with my insulin. I am also riding my exercise bike every day while I play Christmas music.
Lanny is too.  He's had other medical issues with his swallowing and bowels. He had to go get a colonoscopy and an endoscopy.  The second one twice.  They found nothing except his esophagus was closed up a little bit. They opened it up.  He actually really looked good in there. lol.  He takes some stomach med now and is doing somewhat better.  It just seems like it is one thing or the other. But God has been sooooo good to our family.  All my brothers and sisters are still doing good, too!  I hope whoever is reading this is well.  And God bless you all.
