prayers, shadowing, sickly.....

I am thinking of friends and family that I need to be praying for. Our cousin Renee is having surgery today....as is Greta Johnson...an friend from our old church. Another dear friend from our old church is in the hospital in Oklahoma....her name is Ernestine. Things are pretty dismal down there right now. Please take time to pray for them! Also pray for Doug and Betty....they leave today to come here!!!! I'm excited!

Yesterday didn't go too well at the vets office. Without getting into detail (I'll email you Karen)... it was NOT a good fit. I was so disappointed when I left there I almost cried. I like the dr.s and the location....but the girls that work there....not so much. They are very nice to the clients....not so much to each other or about their employers. And I was just in their way. Oh well..... God has a plan for me. This was obviously not it. Excellent vet's who I will always take my animals to....but not a great work environment.

I stopped to see Karla and Maddie. Took Maddie to the bus. She is so fun to talk to. She's telling me about a little girl that rides her bus. She has dark skin. I asked if she was black. She thinks for a minute and said "No, she's brown. Her mom makes her wear her hair in little braids all over her hair. She has to wear them every day." I guess to her no one would be black.....since kids take things so figuratively.

When I got home I started feeling terrible. I got clammy and achy and stuffy and tired. Like this cold took a second shot at me! I laid on the couch and fell asleep. Woke up feeling worse and for the first time called in sick to work. Pam wants me to work the whole week of the 17th for her. That will help the pocketbook. Rested all night. Woke up at 3:15 with a back ache from yesterday's vet experience. So here I sit.

Karla has her video's back up. If you're liberal....don't go there. If not...you may want to check it out.

Best go....hope you all have a good day. May God bless you and protect you....

What's Ahead: The storm is aiming directly into western Washington the next three days with a series of storms that will bring heavy rain and strong wind.
Today winds will be 15-20mph, stronger winds will occur in the north interior. Morning rain will increase across western Washington, becoming locally heavy late day as a cold front approaches.
The cold front will stall over the area through Friday night and another disturbance will exacerbate the rainfall on Saturday before the steady rain finally changes to showers Saturday night. Expect scattered showers Sunday.
