Called for rain... I only see sunshine!!!!

My memory picture of the day was taken of Dylan chatting with his mom at work online. It was taken 3-31-04. He was 5 years old. It was sweet.

It is so pretty out today! Sunny but cool.... it was yesterday too! Love spring. We'll see how long the weather man can call for rain and I see sun! lol

Wow.... it is 10:30 a.m. and I am now just getting to my blog. Busy morning. My computer has been so slow lately I went into my "startup" and shut off all the things I don't need running all the time. Then I went through and defragged my C-Drive. Hopefully that will speed things up.

Then Makoa arrived. First time Angela was stopped at the bridge on the way here and had to wait. She said she knew that day was coming. Lauren is the only one here today. She plays a little with him but prefers to watch tv. She is helpful about some things though..... like feeding him. ;D He is down for a nap right now. I laid him in the toy room. There is a double bed but the box spring and mattress sit on the floor so if he gets off it won't be far. Made it darker and turned a fan on to keep the air circulating. I want to sleep in there now!!!! lol!

Papa is home sick today. He has a cold. Staying away from the kids. Just bugging me. That's what men do when they are home sick, right? Toby really loves it. Papa goes outside or to the garage and Toby follows.

Yesterday was good. Maddie woke up after 7 and wanted some toast. Punkin is watching her. Makoa loves the beanbag chair. This is one of the reasons I never throw toys away unless they are broken. He loves all the stuff the girls used to play with!
When he went down for his nap and I read some more of Junie B. Jones to the girls. Maddie took the book home so I don't know the end! She will have to tell me. We read quite a bit this week! After lunch we went for a walk.... a small one. (Andrew was freeeeeeezing!)It was a very sweet day. After Makoa was picked up we took Maddie home and then visited mom in her new place. I took her new cell phone to her. She is slowly settling in. She needs more help so guess what I'll be doing this weekend! I just realized it is EASTER!!!! I have no clue what we're doing! Have received no invites.... are they waiting for me to make plans? I don't know. Guess I best get on the phone.
Anyway... after mom's we

I hope you all have a great day.... here is the thought for the day.....

Here is your verse of the day.....
And here is your laugh for the day.....News story for the day is local!A homeowner who lives along Hood Canal said he left his front door open for his own cats. He wasn't expecting a 35-pound bobcat to walk in, but that's what happened. The Port Ludlow resident told animal control officers he watched the wild cat jump over a couch, climb over a big screen TV and then jump up to a loft, where it made itself at home. With the help of a tranquilizer gun, animal control officers were able to secure the cat and remove it from the home last weekend. Fish and Wildlife says the bobcat was not harmed and was released back into the wild about six miles from the home. One of the homeowner's pet cats was briefly scared away, but "Boo Boo" made it home safely Tuesday.
Local weather:
Weather to Expect:
Scattered showers will be passing through today with the chance of an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon.
A warm front will brush us by tomorrow, keeping a few showers in the Thursday forecast. Some sun will be breaking out at times with high temperatures in the low 50s.
Another strong storm rolls in on Friday, packing strong wind and increasing rain. Showers will continue into the weekend on Saturday. Easter Sunday looks drier, but wind will once again be picking up.

Spring break in full bloom!

This really is a busy week! Makoa is going to be bored when the kids are back in school! But we are loving it now!!!!

Yesterday we didn't have Kai.... he went to work with his grandpa. So, needless to say, Dylan was bored. But he wasn't feeling too well either. His tonsils are swollen and throat hurt. He just hasn't been up to par since last weekend. Keep him in your prayers. He went home last night.

Maddie, Lauren and Andrew stayed the night. The girls have the den and I told them they cannot get out of bed until the clock says 7. They are still asleep. Maddie was asleep by 9. It took Lauren longer. I think she was overtired. She'll sleep in.

Andrew is on the couch... told him he could go in my bed. I'll tell him one more time before Makoa comes... and then it will be history because that baby LOVES Andrew!!!! He takes Andrew over me unless he is really tired. Here are some great pictures I took yesterday... (not that I am great but the subjects were!) Here are the girls with Kokomo. Lauren surprises me. I thought she would be all over him but she would rather play with Maddie or watch tv. She doesn't play with him much.... but she loves him! Maddie will play on the floor with him. He always hugs Maddie for some reason.

Kind of sad because it only seems like yesterday these two girls were this small in the same chair. ;(But here are the other two buddies. Andrew spends more time during the day with Makoa than on the computer!!!! He doesn't watch TV because that is what he gave up at Lent. He is doing amazing too!! I am so proud of him! He has a bunch of things recorded to watch when Lent ends. lol!
Check out Andrew's face as he feeds Makoa! (above and below)
"See what Andrew did to me????"
Believe it or not I got Makoa down for 2 naps yesterday.

Here is Maddie right before we left for ballet.

All in all... yesterday was a great day! Andrew was wonderful. He helped with Makoa, straitened up the livingroom before we left and took out the garbage... all without asking! He spent time reading his Bible and playing his DS.... while Makoa took a nap. Dylan was just out of sorts. His mom brought over his PlayStation but he only played it for a little while. He sat with me off and on. I'm kind of glad Kai wasn't here... Dylan may have wore himself out more. We went back and forth all day trying to figure out if he should stay or go home. When it was decided to go home he felt bad because his parents had plans to go out to dinner. But Karla told him it would be nice just the 3 of them and that made him feel really good.

After Makoa went home we went to take Maddie to ballet. We went to the library and Lauren found 2 books to check out. Andrew and Dylan couldn't find the books they were searching for. Then we ran up to grandma's apartment. I got to see Ronnie, Ricky and Rita. Libby was there putting things away. Mom was laying down. I snuck in and she was awake and doing great.... tired but happy. Andrew, Dylan and Lauren came in and hugged her and then we left to pick up Maddie. Dropped Dylan off and came home. Lauren's T-ball practice was cancelled so we didn't have to go to Kingston. Came home.... had dinner and that was it for our day....

Home all day until 5... then take Maddie home and Andrew to youth group. As far as I know that is the game plan. It will only get busier when baseball season starts. Four of our grandkids are playing this year!

Here is my memory pictures..... Papa at work March 30, 2005
Lauren covering her chi-chi's.... March 30, 2006... 4 years ago! She was only 3!
Here's your fact....

Good verse.....And to follow up... something to remember. Our lives and country prove this true.
Weather to Expect: Stormy, cool, weather will continue in the northwest the next couple of days. The thunderstorms are producing heavy downpours, small hail, lightning and gusty wind.
Temperatures are running 5 to 10 degrees below normal Tuesday and Wednesday with plenty of rain showers. Highs will be in the 40s, lows in the 30s. Each afternoon will have a risk of a thunderstorm.

mom's place and maddie's face....

What a busy day and I am a bit sore in the back and shoulders. We went to mom's apartment and unloaded the boxes and plants. Here is where she lives from the parking lot side...

Here it is with the frontal view that faces town and the water... hers is the 2nd one up and in from the right. She's at the end of the hall but the window on the right of hers is a sitting room.Dylan is in the sitting room where they also have the trash chute too.
Here is the rest of the room. It is nice....
Here is the two views from mom's window...
When it is sunny you have a crystal clear view of the Olympic Mountains!
Here is walking into the apartment.
Her bedroom and bathroom...

Came home and cleaned house. Here is Maddie after her shower.... she was doing ballet for me! She started off goofy and then got serious....

Got them to pose.... notice Maddie's missing tooth? Happened Friday! ;D
Lauren is my memory photo on March 29, 2004!
Thought for the day.....

verse for the day.....
did ya know this????

Well.... Karla got to sleep in this morning.... someone woke me at 4:45. hmmmm.... Happy Spring Break. At least she was asleep at 9 last night. Just as well I am up early. Got some Makoa prep to do and picking up the kids at 7:30.... busy morning. Having 6 kids today! Am I in Heaven or what???? Have a great day and week!!!!! xoxo

What's Ahead:
An early spring storm roars in overnight. The cold front brings gusty winds to 60 mph on the coast, and 40-50 mph for the north Sound, with sustained winds to 30 in the central and south Sound. Rain will be heavy through the early morning commute, and highs Monday will only reach around 50 degrees. Rain turns to scattered showers by afternoon. The heavy moisture colliding with cooler mountain air brings a threat of 8" of new snow overnight to the Cascades, and another foot Monday.
Tuesday will be cloudy with a few breaks and still a threat of showers. Highs stay near 50. Wednesday and Thursday are the best bets for sun breaks but also a passing shower. Highs will struggle to climb above 50.
Friday a new weather system increases the threat of rain.

Mr. Morrison is in love....

Now this is one regal, happy cat!!!!

I am one happy person this morning!!!! We found the best home possible for Mr. Morrison! Tessa is a beautiful, sweet, kind person that will love him forever. And her mom, Sue, cried. All is happy! Sue wrote this on facebook:

Good is an understatement Joyce! :-D He checked out Tessa's place from top to bottom and found a favorite perch, by the window, already :-) Connor and I went to Petco and brought back supplies and toys.(she didn't want to leave him) He rooted in the bag, so excited, and loves this one toy in particular-grabbing and holding it in his arms-so cute ... See Moreto watch. Oh...and she swears he was watching Golden Girls on her lap, ha! Don't 'spose that was a favorite of your mama's? It's a love fest for sure ♥
Look at him with his new toy looking out the window!
He loves to roll on the bamboo carpet.

He seems to have many options to choose from... which will be his favorite bed? I am so happy how this turned out and I give God the credit. Sue had seen it on my facebook and didn't think much about it. We were all praying Friday and the Lord put it in her mind... voila. He is amazing and gets the credit for this match. He is the one who knew Tessa and Mr. Morrison needed each other. Thank you God!

Went to mom's yesterday and started packing pictures and dishes. Hard to do without her there (she's visiting my brother in Eastern Washington) and not knowing what she wants to take! Lanny worked on her pantry with the food. She has soooo much! Took her plants too. Loaded up the van and didn't have a key!!!! Nice. I thought mom left one and and Libby has one but she was at work. So last night we got Libby's after Lauren's t-ball practice and will go there and unload my van today. Lauren's t-ball practice was fun to watch... except for the grass stains on my pants. lol!

Here are some pics: Lauren positioned at 3rd base.
Wrapping her coat around her waste because she is hot. ;D
After the hit on 3rd base... not sure what the look is for! It's a bit blurry but you can see she caught the ball! She's going to be a very good ball player and she loves it!
Andrew looks interested. So he started bugging me... stole my sunglasses, tickling me with a little stick... I guess this is where it got fun for him? lol! The funny part was when he did a karate kick out of the blue and both legs went out from under him. We all laughed! It was hysterical!

We had dinner at their house after practice. Chicken Adobo. Num! It was sooo good! Had a good time with the family, too. Thanks for having us over! oxoxWhen we got home Toby smelled Sandy dog all over us and then figured he wanted to play.... no Sandy? Papa will do.

Dylan and Maddie are coming over today for a few days! Andrew and Lauren will be coming tomorrow. So excited! Got to get meals planned. Otherwise they graze all day and I will have no food left. lol!

Pray for Dylan.... he wasn't feeling well yesterday. Probably his allergies!!!
Continued prayer for Theresa and Marc.
Continued prayer for Justin Simmons in Afghanistan and other military around the world!!!!
Thank God for the love match between Tessa and Mr. Morrison.
Thank God for the beautiful place mom will be living in!
Thank God for so many things.... every day occurrences we take for granted.

Today is Palm Sunday where everyone praised Jesus and loved him!!!! Within a few days they will turn on him. Sadly, people are still like that today. Enjoy your Sunday and this is a reminder not to go with the crowd.... but stick to your guns and be true to God... no matter what. xoxo

Weather to Expect:

A
one-two punch starts with a cold front that will spread light rain turning to showers Sunday as highs hit the mid 50s. Sunday evening through early Monday another, stronger system brings more rain, and bumps the south winds to 30 mph. Expect higher gusts to 40 inland and 60 on the coast Sunday night. Low pressure in place through the middle of the week will threaten showers and keep temperatures cool across Western Washington.
