On average the number of cars using highways to get around the canal is up 20 to 30 percent.
Their Web site is averaging 12,000 page views per day, with the spike coming on day one of the closure, with nearly 24,000 views.
On the construction front, the project has accomplished 10 of the 24 major milestones.
