Come on our adventure with us....

Well.... I am going to take you on a journey! It was our journey we took yesterday to Kitsap County. We started off going to the Shine Pit park and ride. This is it. It is much nicer than Kitsap side... it is nicely graveled and paved in places. Very nice.
Next we had to get on the Jefferson Transit bus... okay but not really nice.
It took us forever to take off! The bus had it's heat on and the sun was shining on us so it was getting quite warm. I think we sat there about a half hour.
Finally took the 10 minute ride to Shine where we boarded the ferry after about another 5 minute wait.
Then we sat anxiously on the boat waiting another 5 or 10 minutes for it to leave.

Finally left Jefferson County!
I am not sure if Papa is excited, scared or just hating his picture taken and trying to smile. lol! Reminds me of a kid forcing a smile. He's really hanging on too. He told me not to fall off. Not like they didn't have rails! Settle down, Papa!
The Olympic Mountains were pretty... a bit cloudy... it's probably raining up there. Here it was a gorgeous morning!
Here is the other boat going back to Jefferson. They run two boats.
That is our bridge. You can see the big gap out of it if you look hard enough.
Heading towards Lofall dock.
Getting off the boat heading towards the luxury buses!
The Starlight buses are nice... equipped with a TV and storage... like a airlines. These are for traveling cross country. They are really nice. The head guy actually drove our bus because he was giving a lunch break for the regular driver. He was saying if the weather holds they should have the project done in 18 days! That would be cool! Not that this isn't an adventure.... but it will get old for papa quick.
Finally we get the car at Port Gamble park and ride, stop at Kevon's, pick up Dylan and Maddie (who are more than happy to see their mam and papa and to be going to Auntie Tara's!) and we're off.
We had such a wonderful day!!!! Our son-in-law is awesome!!! Brad got the brakes done in less than 4 hours. They put back brakes on and did something to one rotor. Papa is so happppppy!!!!!! The car brakes were so bad they were grinding! Kevon bought Papa's pressure washer so we could buy brakes. We were all happy! Got to see grandkids! Ryan and Manda came with the kids and she brought muffins. The kids had a ball! Manda had cut Ryan, Andrew and Lauren's hair and they all looked great! Maddie got to see Lily (Jordy's dog), Lily got to see Papa (she loves him), and I got great hugs and kisses from my grandkids! Tara, Amanda and I had a great visit, too, which was really nice! It was such a good day... and so sunny out! I got this wonderful card Jordy made me.... she forgot to bring it for my birthday so I got it yesterday. It looked like something you would buy! I was impressed! I will try to scan it so I can share. Took Maddie and Dylan home and parked, caught the bus, caught the ferry, caught the bus, got our van and drove to QFC for a few items. Spent $26.55 and saved with my QFC Advantage Card: $15.71!!! How cool is that??? Milk was only $1.99, got paper plates and my bread on sale. The best deal was a Pork Roast for $5.17.... it was $10.44 off!!! People are so paranoid to eat pork right now it's absolutely ridiculous! Got home and had a relaxing evening watching Amazing Race. Animals were more than happy to see us.

Congrats to Tara who guessed that Titanic was the movie clip yesterday. Today's might be a bit harder...oh, wise one!

Papa is not too happy right now. He left early to catch the bus... he wanted to catch the 5 am boat so he could be to work at 6. Found out there is only a 4:30 boat or a 5:30 boat! What the heck? So he can either get to work an hour early or a half hour late... not a happy camper. He said the bus was packed too... so they may have to change that. Keep him in your prayers... that commuting is a lot of walking too! Wonder how this storm coming will affect his commute in the morning?

Happy birthday time..... to Bonnie Moren... sweet friend and I love her! Classmate Clayton Studebaker! Also Randy Travis is only 50 today! When I saw him on American Idol he looked alot older than that!

My plans this week are to pick an area to clean and to get some cropping and scanning done on my computer that I've been putting off. Plus the usual... laundry, dishes, dusting, job searching, talking to my mom, etc.... Hope you all have a great day! I pray God blesses you with lots of smiles and blessings! You are all such wonderful and supportive family and friends! I am sooo blessed!

What's Ahead:
A cloudy and quiet day ahead of an unusually strong Spring storm coming in overnight and early tomorrow. Wind and rain roar through late tonight and early tomorrow morning. Wind gusts with the rain in the Seattle area are closer to 45 mph.
Tuesday afternoon the wind lets up with rain at times, and highs in the upper 50s. The rest of the week looks showery with mostly cloudy skies, some sunbreaks, and high 50s.

I enjoyed the adventure too. Pretty scenery. I just love all that water. I think I should've been a mermaid. Glad you're finding the silver lining.
