One more post today. I am so excited.... they put up the west truss yesterday!
Just to give you some sense of scale, this bridge truss is being lifted by three cranes... and is 280 feet long, 70 feet wide, 40 feet tall and weighs 1.6 million pounds. There's no margin for error as this huge truss is slowly lowered onto the bridge supports. fantastic!
