Yesterday was like a Saturday morning. Papa and I lazed around for awhile... then we went to Lauren's school. She had called in the morning for a lunch date and I didn't think I could make it, but then I could so I surprised her with corn dog and jo-jo's with ranch dressing. She loved it! I sat with these beautiful girls and we had fun. Papa would not come in. He went and filled the van with gas instead. Coward. Lauren took a corn dog out to him.

Took the kids to their house and went down to mom's to do her pills. She was very happy to see Toby too. She loves Toby. She had some bacon on the counter and Papa got to show mom how Toby does tricks. She didn't know he was so smart. I filled her pills and watered her plants.
Last night was awesome, too. We had pancakes and watched "Off the Map" It is our new favorite TV show. It has been on twice and we love it! And I just looked at my love and was so happy to be right where I was at this time in my life with this man. So blessed!!!
No more talk of the toe. No more talk of missing Makoa. I have whined enough! However... I may have to on Thursday.... so please forgive me in advance.
Something kind of weird happened. Do any of you know what a Wiener Wink is? Let me explain. It is a toasted hot dog with cheese. We would have them in grade school and loved wiener wink day! I haven't thought about wiener winks in ages. Then my sister called Thursday night to ask me how to make them. Then I get a text the next day from Amanda saying she was craving a wiener wink and thought about me. Now how weird is that? So now I want a wiener wink!!! lol! This is how you make them:
Boil hot dogs first
Get a piece of bread... butter the outside.
Put cheese on the inside of the bread and put the hot dog on it.
Roll up the bread and hold it together with toothpicks.
Grill it until brown and toasty.
Don't forget to remove the toothpicks!

Sounds like you have had a wonderful last couple of days even with the sadness that you are giving up Makoa...(well, losing is probably a more proper word, but I was trying to be positive here....)
Glad your toe is now totally shed of the last remnant of the "incident"! I'm sure Toby was just eating up all the attention, school field trip, rides in the car, BACON!!!!! woot woof! Have a great weekend. ps~ I just got some sausage links with cheese inside made by Johnsonville, and Kameron about went on tilt..he could not stop eating them. He just sauted/heated/fried them in the skillet and put them on a bun and gorged....They were good. :-) better than a regular dog because they were sausage I'm sure...(more fat,ack)
YUMMY, I LOVE hot dogs cooked any 'ole way! I just ate some leftover pizza or I might have to have one of those!
