OUR CAT ADORES DYLAN. THIS IS HOW THEY WERE SLEEPING! HIS HEADPHONES MUST HAVE COME OFF. HE LOVES THIS CAT.
KARLA, HOW CAN YOU DENY THEM A REAL PET????? LOOK AT THEM! THEY LOVE THESE ANIMALS!

Yesterday was the strangest day. After I blogged we all got dressed and packed up all their stuff and cleaned up. Then we loaded in the van and went to sunny Sequim. Well, it was sunny til we got there. By the time we got there the kids were "starving" and complaining about the long drive (36 miles....oooo?!) So papa pulled into McDonalds because they have this cool playland that also has air hockey and basketball games. The kids had a blast in there. Twice Maddie ran out crying... once she landed on her boompa and the second time the puck hit her fingers. Poor Maddie. Got her laughing both times and she went back to playing. After playing I sanitized all the kids hands and Dylan ate 11 chicken nuggets and fries! He must be growing! Andrew didn't want food until I ate half of my burger and he wanted a bite and ate the rest. lol! Went to the Walmart up there. The girls kept talking about our Walmart at home calling it the "real walmart". I guess the one up there is a "fake walmart?" The girls went into the clothes section and I taught them to read tags. It was fun. The kids got little toys.... Andrew called his dad and was allowed to get a little bb gun....he was excited. However, checking out Libby called and we had to go home so him and Dylan didn't get to play with their guns. Freaked out on the way home. Off and on all day there were little snow flurries and sunshine... weird weather. Well, right after Discovery Bay there is a stretch of road and it started snowing so hard and was all over the roads it took every one doing the speed limit by surprise and we watched cars sliding... one was in the ditch and another was spinning towards our direction and hit the ditch. Kids were freaking out! It was frightening trying to drive out of it with cars zipping towards you not knowing if they were going to slide and hit you! It only lasted about a mile and then the snow stopped and the roads were clear and the sun started shining again. So bizarre! Maddie says "We have the best family because they always protect us." That was so sweet. Papa is a very good driver. I was pretty sure we weren't going in the ditch but I sure worried about the cars speeding towards us. I called 911... it had been reported.
Took the kids home.... and then went to the hospital. Wasn't sure whether to write about this but I believe in the power of prayer so I will share. Mom was experiencing chest pains yesterday and called 911. I was way up in Forks and Libby was in Seattle on her last journey at work so I called Kev & Meghan. They got there right after the ambulance and followed it to the hospital and stayed until after we got there. I know that made grandma feel so much better to have them there. They ran tests... the good news is they don't believe she had a heart attack. However they may have found a small aneurysm off the aorta in the artery that takes the blood to the arms. They kept her in to do more tests and for her to see the vascular surgeon today. Not sure if she will need surgery to repair it or not until today. Just please say a prayer for her. She is laughing and in good spirits... as usual. She got company anyway! haha! Doug talked with the doctor and filled him in on her heart history back from the 70's and that shed some light on things... and he filled Doug in on what was going on with mom... which made mom feel better when Doug is up to date. Good thing this family has a "heart guy" that knows what is going on. Yesterday was mom's sisters birthday so we didn't call... and I don't think mom really wants her worried at this point since we're not even sure of all the answers. My kids were great as usual! Thanks you all for praying for grandma and the phone calls etc. I know you all love grandma.
Papa stayed home today.... we're going to the hospital to see mom and what is going on. I was suppose to take mom to her Vascular Surgeon today for a check up and we were going to lunch or breakfast. I guess it is still happening... just he's coming to her now and we're eating at the hospital. hmmm. Maybe Lanny will see some old friends there.
Hope you all have a great day today and may God's blessings and protection shine down on you and your family!
PRAYER REQUESTS:
1. Mom
2. Don (Lois's husband) goes for second shot treatments in back today. Last time it was extremely painful.... prayer is needed today.
3. Continue to pray for brother David. None of the family has heard from him since January.... or even know how to locate him
What's Ahead:
Cold air from the north colliding with occasional incoming moisture equals a snow shower threat all day, with high 30s, and south wind turning northwest to 10 mph. Worst case scenario puts 1 to 3 inches of snow on the eastside and east end of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Other areas will see varying amounts from a trace to 1 inch. The rest of the week looks dry but cold, with some overnight record lows possible, in the 20s. Toward the end of the week daytime highs warm to around 50. Mountain snow showers today could drop 2 to 5 inches of new on the Cascades.

Hi Joyce, I hope you Mom will be OK! Having someone in the hospital is stressful for those not in the hospital! Take care and I'll be praying in Georgia!
Love your pictures of the grandchildren with the animals...
The only animals in my house are the ones we eat for dinner.
