Just a quick "Happy Birthday" to Lanny's best friend, Ron! Can't even tell you how old he is now! lol! I pray for him to have a great day and a healthier year!!! And a happy birthday!
I know you're waiting for an update. Unfortunately there isn't any news. The one doctor came in yesterday to tell her he was referring her to her regular Vascular Surgeon... Dr Adams. So mom waited all day for him and he never came. Libby finally asked and they said he would be coming in this morning. So
mom feels a whole day was wasted there. All of us are a bit frustrated by that. So today we will find out what is going on I hope. Doug is pretty sure the pain is coming from the fall... not her heart. I pray he is right. Somehow... in my family I was made the point of contact from way back when. Not really liking that job anymore. Whenever our parents went into the hospital... or Lanny... when dad died.... I was the notifier. It is hard. You have to remember everyone. People get hurt if they aren't contacted directly or first. I would like to quit this position but I don't see anyone willing to step up to the plate in my place. Last night a very difficult and hurtful situation happened. I was tired and worried and then someone got angry with me. Sadly, I'm done with that person. I don't need it. I have to focus on mom and getting her home. ( If you are reading this... I love you but can't deal with it. ) When mom goes home Libby is either going to stay there a few days or I'll go over or mom is going to come here for a bit. So I better clean up the toy room! The not knowing is soooo hard. I know she doesn't want to go through another surgery. Her surgery a couple years ago in Seattle was so hard on her and took her a long time to bounce back. So she is basing this on that. HELP Doug! He is such a calm in this family. Exactly what is needed. Rick and Lois almost came over yesterday. When he called I was a bit worried about them because the snow was coming down pretty good here. He decided to turn around. Then in a bit I got a news thingy on my computer saying I-90 was closed in North Bend due to spin-outs!!! I called him right away to find out where he was and he was dropping Lolo off. I was glad. He's a great driver.... but I still worried. Libby did some deep cleaning of mom's house in the morning. Lanny, Libby and I spent the afternoon with mom. Tara stopped by.... but little Riley got sick at school so she didn't get to visit. A friend from our church, Vern Jungkeit, was a few doors down! He just had a pacemaker put in! He looked great..... high, but great! It was nice seeing him, his wife and meeting his daughter. Got home and talked with cousin June from South Dakota. We don't want to upset my Aunt Lorraine or freak her out about mom being in the hospital but we need to keep her up to date... since mom usually calls her every day. We compared notes on how hard it is to see our parents age and all the health issues. They are battling some major things there. Keep them in your prayers. Called mom's best friend, Mary, too. Mom was worried about her. See? Contact person. Contacted her pastor, too. Tried to contact everyone. It's hard when you don't really know anything yet.Hopefully it will quit snowing now. It was off and on all day yesterday!!! But we had no accumulations.... which was good. Dylan called last night to tell me he was watching the radar and Jordy was about to be hit with a huge snow storm. Thank you Dylan Wapler. lol! I love that kid... he always makes me smile.
We debated whether to record "24" or watch it.... we watched it and we were glued!!! I can't believe everyone is not glued to that show! It is the best show on television!
Well... that's it. I will try to post this afternoon when we find out more what is going on. You can't believe the contact list of people that love mom .... so I try to post here instead. Saves me time and repitition. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and support during this stressful time. I know mom really appreciates the prayers.... and would thank each of you if she could!
What's Ahead:
Early flurries south and west of Seattle were the only lingering reminder of yesterday's snow storm. Expect clearing skies today with cold dry air from the north being forced south by building high pressure. Highs warm to the lower 40s, still cool for this time of year. North winds will be around 10 mph. That ridge of high pressure will keep us dry and almost cloud free through Thursday, as highs gradually warm closer to 50. Expect more clouds Friday and mid 50s, with a chance of rain returning this weekend.
