Everyone is talking about the weather here. Probably because the word "blizzard" has popped out of the forecasters mouths. Yikes! Papa is going to work early to stock up on some batteries. We could lose power..... that's what I really hate. Worrying about freezer stuff. We have enough propane for the heat for awhile. So we'll at least stay warm. I even have a portable DVD player that runs off D batteries. I can't do anything about my computer tho. Oh well....no need to borrow worries, right?
Worked yesterday. I got there an hour late. The roads were fine. Work was fine. Lots of cancellations for Monday. Papa, Andrew and Lauren picked me up. We went to Walmart and got a few things and then to McDonald's for a couple burgers before coming home. Karla and Joel brought Dylan and Maddie over to spend the night. They decided to keep them home tonight because of the forecast. They don't want them stuck on this side..... which surprised me. lol! Tara is unsure about the slumber party. Amanda said Andrew and Lauren could stay....so at least someone will be here for it! So Andrew, Dylan, Maddie and Lauren got to play outside in the snow for a while yesterday and inside. Boys tried to do the big wheels but they wouldn't do anything. Funny how the girls hardly ever play on the swings....and now that it snowed they played on them for a long time! Ry & Amanda picked up their kids and I just chilled with Maddie and Dylan.
Today is our family Christmas! Seems weird. Doesn't seem like it is happening. First of all, it came fast. Second.... Amanda is making the turkey and Meghan the ham. All I am making is Cherry Cheesecake, Jesus' Birthday cake, and scalloped potatoes. I got it made! And I get help this morning! We have a lot of cleaning to do, to get ready. Heather and Don and the kids got here with no problem. Now we'll pray they get home ok! Or..... get stuck over here and have to stay a few days! Jordy would love it!!!! Well, it's 5 in the morning and Madelyn just got up. She is sitting next to me on the stool with the fleece snowman blanket around her and a cup of V-8 Splash in front of her.
Well, that's about it....me and Maddie have to go cook. Hope you have a wonderful day.... and if I have time I will post some pics of the day or at least write later! God's blessings on you and your family!
