nothing but the weather to talk about....right?

All is calm.....haven't panicked with that snowed in feeling yet. How's the rest of ya doing? I worry about paychecks. Most of us have the "no work no pay" thing going on. Papa missed work at Walmart yesterday. I got a text from Krystal that we're not going in today. Neither is papa but he gets paid....but he freaks because it may be coming out of his hours....but he's not sure. Nothing we can do about the weather. They call it an "act of God" ..... or at least they used to. Not sure what they call it now to be 'politically correct'. Heather and Don are getting chains this morning and heading home. SO glad they didn't yesterday! Everyone stayed safe. David went to mom's and is staying with her until the snow is gone. I'm really glad about that. If the power went out she would have no phone. He has a cell phone.

Speaking of power....we lost ours yesterday. I think it was around 6ish and Papa said it came back on around 10:30. We played Rummy.... that was kind of fun. Probably because I won every time. I went to unplugged the computer and went to bed around 9...... papa was up most of the night. He said the power went on and off. I bet he was getting frustrated. I took Nyquil and knew nothing. This morning he's had to put the battery alarm back in the freezer, reset clocks, filled out vitamin boxes, had to scrape off the dish, stuff like that.

My facebook friends said they had between 6 to 12 inches of snow yesterday.... depends on where they were. We have 18 inches on the back of papa's car! He scraped the snow off yesterday and another 3-4 inches accumulated overnight on top of it. It just never seemed to stop!

My 10,000 visitor came and went and I don't know who it is.... she is from St. Louis Missouri....charter communications! Congrats whoever you are!!!!

I don't know what we're going to do today. Hope we don't kll each other. Seems like we've been locked up together for a week. lol! Hope you are all hanging in there!!! Have fun with your kiddo's! They grow up fast....and soon you'll have no reason to go out. :(

What's Ahead:
Scattered snow showers will continue throughout the morning. This storm is passing by to our south through Oregon today. It moves off to the east later this afternoon which will give us a break from the snow. Drier air starts moving in later today and Tuesday, allowing everyone to dry out a bit. The winter weather break will be brief.
The next storm arrives Tuesday afternoon, lasting through Wednesday. We're looking at a rain/snow mix with this Christmas Eve storm. Temperatures will be above freezing during the day with evening temperatures dropping below the 32 degree mark. Heavy snow and rain at times is possible with this system. A few snow showers lingering into Christmas morning, before we start warming up above the freezing mark. A storm rolls in for the end of the work week, spreading rain across Western Washington on Friday.

This is Sean's second week of no work. He can't saw up frozen wood. He had to put in a waiting week with unemployment...so there is absolutely no money coming in...It'll work out, it always does.
