1-12-09 Warning: Crabby me....

24 was so cool. Jack is back. I love that show. Except I fell asleep during it. Twenty minutes before it ended! I'll finish watching it this morning. I wish I didn't wake up so early. Today it was 3:30. I just can't go back to sleep sometimes.

I have a lot on my mind right now. I am not sure what we're going to do.... had a plan and it fell through. The bridge closure. We were going to go live with mom during the week. Now.... my sister, Libby, and her husband are. If you've ever been to mom's... there is no room for 5 adults living in the same house. So... I was pretty upset last night. At everyone! Feel like we've been bumped out of our spot. Nothing I can do about it. Need to figure out a plan B. It's really hard because we have to take Toby. We figured we would put a cat door in the garage for the cat during the week and she would be ok. Planning on coming home on weekends. Not sure what is happening with Papa's walmart job during this time. Man, this sucks. (Kelly....the bridge that comes to the peninsula we live on is closing from May 1st - June 12th to replace a whole section. There will be passenger only ferry running.) If we stay in our home it means commuting to a park and ride, riding a bus to the ferry, riding a bus to another park and ride to a car we'll have to leave on that side. We'll need to leave 2 cars over there....with our schedules so different. Urghhhhh!

Working today. That's my plans. Had a good day yesterday. Lauren and I did the Easter story... which she basically told me. That was our Bible time. She frosted the cookies. Andrew and I had a good talk about "popularity" and stuff. He is such a great kid. They both are. Amanda called to see if we wanted to come over for soup and watch the Charger game. Papa was in the middle of bbq-ing but after we ate lunch we went over there. She's fun to watch when the Chargers are playing. That's her team.

Tomorrow is my son's birthday. He'll be 31. Probably won't see him. It's not because he's married and busy.... he's just always been that way. But I will call him tomorrow. Seems like your whole life is wrapped up in your kids.... taking care of them, providing for them, loving them, and then they grow up and get too busy with their own lives. I call my mom almost every day. Even if we only talk a few minutes .... I call. One day I won't have that choice. Oh well. Can't change anyone.... only how you react, right? Can you tell I'm cranky?

Life is kind of sad. No one just calls or texts or emails to tell one another they love them. Life is going to go by and we're going to be left with "I wish I would have's...."

Well.... that's it. I'm a downer. But you were warned with the title so if I brought you down you have no one to blame but yourself. lol! Hope you all have a great week! Pray we find a solution to our bridge problem.

What's Ahead:
Monday: a few scattered showers. High temperatures will be in the upper 40s and low 50s for the start of the work week.

Sorry you're having a "crabby day". Everyone is entitled to one occasionally though. The bridge problem will work out. Just keep praying about it and remember in the end, it'll only last six weeks and you do have a worst case scenario Plan F to fall back. Your kids and grandkids are VERY blessed to have such a great mom and mam! I hope your Monday frown turns upside down! :-)

If by chance you see your son tell him that on of his cousins remembers him fondly and wishes him a happy birthday.Bet you I could walk right past him and he wouldn't know me.Not criticism, just fact.My feelings are in a tangled snarl. Not a good morning and SOMEBODY was shall we say out of sorts? No way to start your day. This thing will work out.Don't take it personal or let it bug you.Shit happens and you WILL step in it.Luvya.
