MORNING PICTURES OF PAPA, MADDIE AND LAUREN!After all that "fog" talk from the weather forecast..... I haven't seen any. lol!
Today is Meghan's bday! I will be putting up a slide show soon! Her and Kevon got married last September.... but she's been in the family longer! We all love Meg and thinks Kevon made a good choice!
Yesterday was a good day at work. A few moments.... but had lots of laughs too. Mindy (the office manager) brought in a carrot cake for us to celebrate our new move into our room. However.... all of us are trying to lose weight! All gave in but me. Of course, sweets aren't really my thing.... and neither is carrot cake. They got a kick out of my story about Andrew.... he's always loved carrot cake and just a few years ago asked if there were really carrots it it.
Speaking of Andrew....4 kids spent the night last night. I went and got them and then went to DQ. In DQ is the huge trophy that Dylan's baseball team won last season. We watched two families come in and admire it. I bet that happens alot. Dylan thought that was cool. So did Maddie! Came home and Andrew wasn't happy cuz he wanted to play and Dylan wanted to watch wrestling. I got a play by play on what was happening on the tv. If I left the room for something... he would pause it. I just can't get into it like we did when the kids were little. Maddie sure got excited when some freak called "oh bla do" or something came on.... so of course.... Lauren loved him, too! I thought he was scary looking! I hear Lauren and Maddie whispering.... the day begins at 6:30.
Think we'll play a game this morning. Not sure who has to leave when... but we'll try to make the most of it while they are here. That's all my plans!
After work I met with Tara and Karla at Red Robin for lunch! That was really nice. Got to visit for a bit anyway! And .... as always... good food. The fries weren't all that fresh but oh well. Then I went to David's and got my book "The Shack" back. I'm going to read it again. I'm so frustrated with him I can't even blog about it. He's not doing drugs but he is back in the casino's so he needs prayer. I hate the casino. I told him fools like him are broke and wondering how they're going to make it and the casino's are rich.... can't he see that? He's not going to double his money... it will never happen because he can't quit!!!! He better get ahold of mom soon or I'm going after him and won't be as gentle. Enough about that.... just spinning me up.
Then I went to the doctor's .... was an hour early for my appt so I checked and they were on time.... Papa came and visited for a bit before he had to go to work. Went in and waited til about 20 minutes past my appt and finally asked.... an emergency came in and she was now behind. I rescheduled. I hate waiting in waiting rooms with people hacking and moaning. I don't want their germs! At least at my office you can't catch carpal tunnel, a screwed up back, or broken wrist! haha!
I love that video of Jeff Duchemin. He's such a dork! I don't mean that cruelly either. He lived next door to us in Poulsbo.... someone had a huge crush on him.... and it wasn't me, Karla or Tara. It was fun living next door to them. I had bought a graduation banner I hung out when Tara graduated from high school. Then Gin borrowed it the next year for Brad, then I hung it up for Karla, she hung it up for Jeff, then I hung it up for Heather. We just went back and forth. I liked living there. She was the last "neighbor friend" I made.
Keep prayers going for the family of that little boy that died at the Tacoma Dome Monster Truck show last night. How tragic. They haven't released many details at this point... but it may have been something flying out and hitting him. How sad.
Also.... please remember Don & Lois in your prayers. Tomorrow is Donny's birthday. I'm sure it is going to be a difficult day for them.
