Yesterday was such a good day. It really was. Laying out my clothes totally has taken the stress out of my morning routine. I just grab what's next in line and put it on. No arguments with myself. I figure it's settled. At work, Krysta sat down with me and showed me easier ways to put insurance stuff into patients files. Wow....it probably would have overwhelmed me before...but I am really picking up on this stuff and it is all coming together! Of course....there are still many, many things to learn....and they keep changing things so it will never be dull. And I'm not stupid enough to think all my days will be wonderful and happy there.... but God is good. Thank you for praying for me! I love the space they put us in, I love my own desk where I can leave everything at work and I have my picture up of my family I love so much, and I got a new chair. None of us are overly happy about the chairs....they are not as comfy as the one we test-drove. Not sure what is up with that?
After work I went to Dylan's school. The office had me take the blankets, coats, etc to Dylan's class. His teacher was SO grateful! Dylan walked with me to get the other bags. The clothes are going to the tent city in Edmonds she drives by one on her way home from work. It feels good. Thank you so much cousin... Cheryl Narod for all you donated! God bless you!!!! It felt so good to see Dylan's face light up when I opened that classroom door. It really did. He loves me.
Then I went on my mission to hunt down David. Wasn't tough....he was home. He had a girlfriend inside so I wasn't invited in so we stood on the deck. We had a long talk.... maybe a lecture and maybe I was the one who had it. But I encouraged him, too. What makes me mad is he HAS a phone... a landline! And he hasn't called mom. She is so hurt and angry.... so continue to pray! I told him he better call her! As of last night he hasn't. He ignores things he doesn't want to deal with. Plus I don't think he can see beyond this girl right now. He makes me so mad. I realize it is his life .... but this family loves him and if you know his past you know why we worry so much. Just wish he'd think about mom more.
Speaking of mom....Lanny bought a battery and put it in her car last night. So she is on the road again....watch out! Marcey knows what I'm talking about. lol! He stayed and visited with her quite awhile, too. He's a nice guy. She loves it when people visit her. Wish my kids would take time for her (hint hint). Even a phone call would be nice. They have their relationship with her through me.... not good.
Speaking of Lanny....today is his step-dad's birthday. Happy birthday, Jack! Lanny has been through alot with Jack.... but they are finally in a place in their life where they have seen a lot of healing and forgiveness. That is good. They talk on the phone a couple times a year. I pray he has a great birthday.
Speaking of Jack.... when Lanny talked to him at Christmas he said Michael was doing really good. He seems happy and is gaining some weight. I think it was hard on Michael the last few months at mom's.... somehow he knew something was going on and it upset him. All our worrying about Michael was for nothing. He's doing good.
The other good thing that happened yesterday was I got an email that a friend of mine from church needed to get rid of her piano. I asked Amanda if she wanted one and she was really happy to take it. It is a beautiful upright that traveled here from Virginia and you can look up it's history! It served in two churches and is Mahogany. Jaime is so happy to have found a home for it. She got rid of it because her son won't stop climbing on it... and she is afraid he will hurt himself. She said she loves her piano but loves her son more. Plus she thinks Lauren is so cute and is happy it's going there. So another happy ending yesterday. See why it was such a good day? God is sooooo good!
Plus I got a new external hard drive to put my photo's and music on! It is 500 GB. Now I can scan some of those in the garage before they are ruined. My computer is so much faster now that I moved them! They've come down in price and it so worth it if you have lots of pictures!
Then last night the washer wouldn't work. It's a computerized front loader. Lanny had rested his hands on some buttons while getting into the freezer and somehow messed it up...and it kept saying "err....lock". Went on line and couldn't figure it out. This morning he pushed some buttons together at once and fixed it. Another God thing. I was a bit worried about that thing! It wasn't cheap!
Pray for Papa....he is going to talk to them at WalMart about getting Sunday's off. I really would love that!!!! I miss going to church with him!!!
Well....I think this was a long one....because it was an awesome day yesterday! Thanks to God! Hope your day is good and get checked for Vitamin D deficiency! Hilary said 80% of the people coming to her office are!!! I'm getting mine checked!
God bless and enjoy your day! Walk with God! And pray for the people being evacuated because of flooding...I can't even imagine.

Yeah, I've been reading about the evacuations. That's awful. Glad you and yours aren't affected. Vitamin D deficiency, hummmm, interesting. I think I'd like to have mine checked too.
