Homework... it's been a while!!!

Sunday morning and I might as well type while I can. I am blessed to have Andrew and Lauren here overnight.  We made cookies that flopped.... but was fun to do. I spent a long time helping Andrew with his history homework... on the Greeks and Alexander the Great times. Good thing it wasn't math or science. I love history and english ... stink at the other two. I have to say it again... I am amazed at how smart that kid is!  Poor Lauren wasn't feeling well all night. She took a hot shower and snuggled in the sleeping bag watching TV most of the time. She played soccer yesterday but was pretty cranky. Praying for her... this cold is wiping her out.

Speaking of wiped out.  We picked up mom after Lauren's game and took her shopping down to Albertson's.  Ran into Rick & Kathy Rayment, Judd Henry and Francie Mendez!  Awesome! I worried about mom as we checked out. It is like the life went out of her. She was wiped out. Got her out to the van and brought her home. She just wanted to sit in her chair. I got her a bottle of water and o.j. and put her coat away. I called her today and she is still not sure what happened. She said she felt like a noodle.  She didn't sleep well last night. Keeping watch and praying for her!

Well... I am spent here. I did start a new site after checking out my friends Jolene. Hers is called "Jolene's life in 52 weeks." I am a late bloomer so mine is called Joyce's Life in a Year!  I think the title is misleading. It is one subject a week and you write about your childhood. I was too late for the New Years memories... but I started on Winter Memories. Next I will do Valentine Memories and move on from there... the cars your family had as a child, TV shows... etc. I think it is quite a legacy to pass on. I'm trying to talk mom into doing it too! Maybe even Lanny. Too late for my daddy... but we should put down some of the memories he told us about. He had a lot of stories.
I love history... American, World, Washington State, and people's. I love that show "Who Do You Think You Are?" The one with Vanessa Williams was really good. Genealogy fascinates me. I guess while I am living with free time I should think about it. I have quite a bit on my family already. Might be interesting to take it out of the paper file and put it in the computer and research more. My brother Doug was really into awhile back.

I think I will sign off now. I hope you all have an awesome day!  Tomorrow starts another week. I am tackling my closet tomorrow.  Papa and I have discussed the possibility of moving and I need to get rid of stuff! We are having a yard sale in May. Starting to get it together now.  Papa is going to go through his stuff too. We want to get rid of at least half of our stuff if not more. ;D The kids will be happy to hear that!  Gotta think ahead. We are hitting a different stage of our lives!

Memory Picture taken 11 years ago today of Karla taking Dylan to his first movie!
