HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!! Today is my dad's birthday. Just because he is in heaven it is still his birthday... after all it is Abraham Lincoln's bday tomorrow and we still acknowledge it! I miss dad, of course, today and every day. What an exceptional person. He would have been 88 today!
Yesterday was great!!! I loved it! Wiped out but had fun with some of my favorite people ever!
Started out I went to pick up Lois and Denise. This was the view at the bridge... sun and fog!
We went and got my mom. We drove over to Hostmark apts. I need to stop here to explain. Wednesday Hostmark (where sweet Mary used to live and mom applied for a year ago) called me. They said 2 apartments are available. We drove by and looked at them. Nice places but stairs... only a few but difficult with a walker. They are cheaper in rent but mom prayed and weighed all the plus and minuses and decided to stay where she is at. She loves her apartment. Good choice. So many things are out of mom's control ... it was good to see her make her own decision.
We took her to the doctor.... which was a riot all in itself because we couldn't find it! He is the one who runs tests to check her arteries and stuff. He doesn't need to follow up on her arm but he checked her neck and is concerned. He wants Dr Arthur, the surgeon she already has an appointment with next Thursday to check it out. So mom is a bit stressed about that I think.

Then we cruised over to the diner on the other side of Bremerton for an awesome breakfast! Love their food! We started laughing so the camera came out!

I am just praising Jesus this morning!!!! I read Joanne's blog every day! http://thesimplewife.typepad.com/ I have been praying and following her progress since this young lady had a stroke a month ago! God is so amazing! Yesterday she wrote on an ipad! I cried! I think it is so awesome! To God be the glory great things He hath done!!!!
On the flip side I feel a bit ashamed this morning for yesterdays post. Sometimes when I get inside my head all I think about is "me, me, me." Not a good thing. I don't know why I get on these pity parties. God opened up my sinful heart to me today...I posted it on my devotion. I hope by posting it others will forgive me or some will learn from me? http://talkabouttheword.blogspot.com/
Happy birthday to my life long friend Berta today! She is my age (well 2 months older!) We grew up together in Kirkland... we moved to Kingston and they followed a couple years later! Our families are more than friends... we're family!

Friday will be dry with temperatures running in the upper 40s and low 50s.
Rain will start moving in around midnight
Rain increases through Saturday morning, tapering to showers later in the afternoon.
Sunday does not look as wet as Saturday... still rain at times throughout the day.
A stronger storm moves in Monday, providing another shot of rain and gusty wind on Valentine's Day.

you know i do call you, seems like you always want to get off the phone quick, but we are all busy so i dont take it personal (unless i should lol) its hard cause we should call our parents, but they should call us to, after all we have their grand kids :)
I never want to get off the phone with you.. and yes, you call me more than anyone. Just to say hi or talk. I love it! The thing with calling you all is you guys ARE the busy ones so it is hard to know when to call you. You've got so much going on as moms! I know, I was there. And Kharma is biting me in the butt! When raising you all I always knew mom had dad. Didn't think she needed the kids she spent devoted to her whole life! I was busy! Now it is biting me in the butt. I'm changing my mindset and trying to let go... not build a wall but be more understanding. I love you all so much I want relationships! xoxo!
