Happy President's Day!

I love to surprise everyone with a new look to my blog.  Do ya like this one? It is only for a couple weeks until I do St. Patrick's Day!  And then Spring. And then my birthday. And then Easter!  I love the variety of backgrounds you can find!  I've posted places on this web site. I love blogs! I love to read them, write them, etc.  I have one that I don't do every day that I am putting childhood memories on a certain subject. That is really a fun one. Yesterday I did "cars".

Today is President's Day. What a confusing day. When we were kids we got Washington and Lincoln's birthdays off! They were National Holiday's we observed. Then it got changed to kind of a meaningless President's Day where they had to share their birthday the 3rd Monday of February and honor every other president.... whether they deserved it or not. President Nixon kind of started that one. Some people look at it as a day of sales... a day off.  It's a confusing holiday. We had some great presidents that helped to mold this country... they would probably freak out if it saw it today!!!!
Happy President's Day! The handsome man in the sunglasses is my daddy! To the right is my grandpa Langager!

When Lanny and cousin Greg were there... Greg lived in Rapid City so we got the tour of Mt. Rushmore, Chief Joseph, Black Hills... it was awesome!

Speaking of South Dakota... my Aunt Lorraine called yesterday! Not on purpose, but I still love hearing from her!!!! She is mom's sister and I was named after her!
Speaking of yesterday was just a chillaxing day. Gregory came over and him and Lauren played all day! They played here... then they went to Gregory's play set in his yard. Great day to be outside... although I made Lauren wear gloves.  Papa made his cookies the kids loved!

My heel is feeling a bit better. Just wish I could go on walks without hurting for days. :(  Maybe I need to go to Miami... put my feet in the warm sand and visit this place! Anyone care to join me?

Harry and Charlie.... I am Miami bound!!!!  We're getting sunshine here... but it is so cold outside!

Yesterday Papa took Toby for a walk and they ended up walking the beach too. Toby loves the smells on the beach.  When they come home I try to catch them and call Toby. He comes running up fast and sees me.. then runs back to papa and runs circles around him. Every time. Lauren laughed yesterday seeing this.... I recorded it this time but couldn't download so I am putting it on YouTube and see if I can post. From a time when I seriously thought we were going to lose him to the gracious healing of our Lord and seeing him so happy with this much energy... a miracle. Thank you God!

We have no plans today. Maybe some cleaning.  Watch the Amazing Race from last night.  Papa was watching "The Bible". That is an amazing movie. How they did all those animals boggles the mind!  I hope this shows?

Well... best go do whatever it is I am going to do. lol! Have a great day... enjoy your day off! And if you're a president of anything... happy president's day! ;D

WEATHER:
After a weekend in the sun, clouds and showers are returning on this President's Day. We'll keep it dry through the morning under partly sunny skies. Another system diving in from British Columbia will start spreading in showers this afternoon with high temperatures in the mid 40s across Western Washington. Seattle's forecast high is at 46 degrees.
Much colder air is working into our area with this next system. The snow level will be down to 1,000 feet Tuesday morning, so areas along the Cascade foothills could see some wet flakes mix in with the rain showers.
The lowland snow chance will improve midweek. High temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday will only be in the upper 30s. We'll be cold enough that everybody around the sound will have the opportunity to pick up some snow showers.
Dry weather returns on Friday with some more sunshine breaking out into the weekend.
