soccer games, surgery, and mom's......

my mom is in the middle....with her sisters Clarice & Lorraine and her dad.
Mom and Doug on the left....Clarice and Michael on the right.
My grandparents.....Irene and Carl Lohre. Looks like a tornado in the background!
A picture of my Grandma Irene Lohre. She died in 1936 when mom was 5.
Clarice, mom and Lorraine....not sure why mom looked so owlie....except she said she wasn't feeling well that day.

I got up way too early.....4:30! Not sure why. I work today so I am going to miss Riley and Andrew's first soccer games. That makes me sad. Can't wait to see pictures and here how they did!!!! hint, hint. That's all the plans I have for the day.

Baby Noah's surgery was yesterday. Talked to Rita and heard from Becky that they took out his tumor and half of the left lobe of the liver. The tumor was attached to his stomach but they were able to pull it off. It was also attached to his gallbladder so they went ahead and removed it. The tumor was also attached to a fatty lining on the stomach so they took that out too. They cut his from side to side and he had to have a blood transfusion when his blood-pressure dropped, but after that it was okay. He's doing well and in ICU right now. "Please keep prayers coming as he has a long road ahead still but with Gods help, he will be feeling better really soon!!"

Mom (Grandma Wave) isn't doing well. Rita said she has totally stopped eating because she is ready to go. She can't talk much anymore and sleeps all the time. Rita listens to her all night on the baby monitor. It is a very hard situation down there. Keep praying for them all.

Yesterday was a good day. We went and watched Lauren get on and off the bus. Almost cried! She looks so little! She climbed up on the bus and just kind of stood there for a minute. I thought she was going to turn around and get off the bus.... but she turned around and sat in the front seat. She got off at the school and we went to meet her teacher. Very nice. Then we took Lauren to meet the office ladies who I've known for years.....DiAnn Taylor and Stephenie Bento. Mrs. Skelly from the Global Bean was there too..... so Amanda got to meet her too. She was telling Amanda how smart Lauren is! Amanda was pretty happy!

Then we picked up mom and went to Albertson's. She is having problems picking up her prescription again.....dumb medicare. I called and dealt with them after we got home. I have to go back to mom's on Monday and call and see if they straitened it out yet! Tax dollars at work. Anyway.....we went to Walmart and we were going to drop papa off at home.....the bridge traffic was backed up past 4 corners! So we turned around and went to this little cafe.....12 trees? It is by Hilltop on the way to Edgewater....turn left on 12 trees road into the industrial park and it is down to the left in there. I had French Dip which was really good, mom had a huge chicken sandwich, and papa had a burger, of course. I don't think any of the sandwiches on the menu were over $6.oo. It was pretty good. Saw an old friend, Cherry Jones, while waiting to eat. Nice to see her again. She walked away and Lanny says "Who was that?" Dipstick. The traffic was cleared by the time we got done so we took Lanny home and looked at a bunch of pictures Lois (mom's cousin in South Dakota) had sent me......some of my mom's parents and sisters that she doesn't have....so we printed some of those. You can see a few I posted. After taking mom home and dealing with medicare I went and got my check and cashed it. Saw John Stricklin (Grandpa Henry from KidStuf) at the bank and visited for a bit. He's a great guy! Newly married and very happy! Well, that's about it for now. Hope you all have a nice Saturday and all is good.
