Well, my baby boy is getting married today. I call him that because he is the youngest in the family....the baby. Not because he acts like a baby or looks like a baby. Today is probably my last time I'll get to call him that....he'll be a married man! I guess it stops there? I'll be thinking about them all day.... wishing I was there but knowing in my heart I made the right decision not to go. Got a text from him yesterday. It said "We are safe and having fun. We will e.mail you pix. But the net costs." So I am assuming I'll be getting pictures on my phone instead of the internet? That will be better than nothing, I guess. Right? The wedding is 4 their time....2 ours. I guess Kev, Meg, Brad & Tara are having fun though!
I heard yesterday afternoon Jordy went to urgent care the day before! Some relative of hers was playing with them and threw her up and she landed wrong....hurt her back. She cried for a long time and wanted mom. Poor girl. Wish we would have known.... we would have been praying for her!
Karla & Joel took the kids to the zoo. If you can log onto her "myspace" account you have to read the captions with the pictures. Hilarious!
Didn't go to church in the morning..... I went with Papa in the evening to Ron & Sharon's church. Ron was playing guitar and they had his daughter, Kim, with them from Pennsylvania. Nice to meet her. They're having a great visit. The message was good last night and I think Papa was glad to get back into a church. It's been months! If we miss Saturday nights at ours....we need to make an effort to go with Ron & Sharon.
Papa and I stopped at Jack-in-the-box for dinner before church! It was like a date! We haven't been anywhere together in a while. We're busy with work. It was really good! Not liking their raunchy commercials lately.... but still liking their burgers. It was a last hurrah before we begin getting healthier today. I started a website to help us encourage one another and support. We are picking a buddy. So far there are 5 of us. Papa and I, Sean and Hilary, and Betty. Even if it was just Papa & I ....we would be doing it..... we want to. Makes a difference when you "want to" .... not just "have to." But I'm glad people are jumping on board. The difference with this one is it's long-term.... not 100 days. You can jump in or out anytime. Up to you. If you're interested....email me.
Heard from Rita this morning. Mom did really bad the night before last, but last night was better. The nurse came and gave her meds at 10 pm and mom slept til 4. Keep praying...... don't know how to pray anymore for this situatuion....except God give Rita strength..... she is so exhausted! I wish we were there to help!
Some good news.....my nephew Justin is suppose to be coming home from Iraq today! Denika must be so excited!!!! Thank you, God, for keeping him safe!
Well..... I'm just spending the day having mixed emotions today. Happy for the kids and sad I'm not there to share. I didn't think I'd ever miss another kids wedding after Karla....but here I am. It's tough. Oh well.....may God bless their life with years of happiness, strength and babies!
