Today is down time....

I can't believe how wiped out I am today. Yes.... I admit it.... overdid it yesterday. But don't tell my mom! First, I went and got my hair trimmed up. Then did some Christmas shopping. Then picked up Dylan from school and took him to the dentist for Karla. He had to get his last filling and now he is done! He is happy. Wow, he had a bit of anxiety when we got to the office. His Auntie Meghan was going to leave at 2 (she is very sick) but she waited til we got there and held his hand during the shot. Last night on the phone she felt bad because he ended up having 2 more shots (he was super numb by the time we left) and now wishes she would have stayed. (She works as Dr. Stewart's dental assistant... and she is very good at it! I won't go in there unless she can be with me the whole time!) Dylan did really good. He had to know every move dr was making. Dr showed him a mirror and explained drilling and filling. Very patient guy.
After his appt I took him home and then almost finished my shopping. I have one more gift to buy.... and I just have to find it! And I only have until Saturday! Then I did the stupidest thing. It was pouring down rain and I can't find my van .... and I have no coat or sweater on (because the sweater is in the bag... just bought it). I walked out in the rain in the parking lot for 10 minutes looking for it and pushing my key thingy looking for my headlights to flash. I felt like such a dipstick. How many times have I judged people for being idiots for losing their cars and then I go and do it. duh. That will learn me. Kevon said they're going to have to buy me a bracelet with my name and address on it soon! Funny. I was a bit wet by the time I got in the van. Then.... I had to run over to Dylan's concert. I would have gone straight home at that point but he was expecting me. So I went to his concert soaked and wet. I got to sit by Maddie which was nice. There was me, Maddie, Joel, Roger & Karla (Joel's parents), my Karla, her dad and his wife. Quite a turn out for Dylan. ;D I'm not even sure he cared. lol! It was fun to watch Joel interact with Maddie. He is a good dad. He sang with her when it was time to sing and just to see the look of love and pride in his eyes when he looks at Maddie and Dylan touches my heart. Joel is very private and strong. His softness is his kids. He adores them and I like catching a glimpse of that. Funny... feels almost like you are interrupting a private moment. The concert was a short and sweet concert. Walked back in the rain to my van and came home.... bundled up in my jamas and fuzzy robe. Papa brought dinner home with him. Went to bed by 10... woke up coughing and we both ended up sitting on the side of the bed taking cough syrup sometime last night. What a sight! He may have to go back to the doctor.
What was nice about yesterday was... I got to spend some time with Dylan. I love spending time with my grandchildren. Got to spend some time with Maddie. Got done with almost all my Christmas shopping. And I ran into old friends at Walmart.... Tamara Henry and Ruth Williamson from our old church, Lanny's cousin Joe Brazeau, and my high school and Facebook buddy Paula! Got lots of hugs and visiting in! ;D Plus we didn't get our snow! I am glad about that! And I did some texting and talking alot with grandson Patrick!!! shhhh.... he likes a girl! Her name is Morgan and she is pretty with blond hair and brown eyes like Auntie Meghan! He is going to get a picture with his cell phone and send it to me. lol! I love him so much!!!!

Memory pictures are Lauren and I December 15, 2003 at Andrew's Christmas concert!
At the same time we were there... Patrick was home playing with their puppy Mona!
And Riley was just getting out of the bath!!!
Three years later Andrew is in Colorado with this picture of his Gingerbread House! We missed them so much the time they were gone!
I better lay low the next couple days and rest. I'm suppose to attend Jordy's singing concert tonight and go with mom to Advent service on Wednesday night... not sure if I should or can. If I don't start feeling better soon I am going to call or go back to the doctor. I have to feel better by Saturday!!! 10 grand kids spending the night!
Well, I am going to take my advice and get some rest now. You all have a great day and please pray for my friend, Cindy Lou, and her family! Her oldest son, Justin (green shirt), is heading to Afghanistan in the Marines today. Very hard on all of them.... please say a prayer for them. Thanks. Also ask the Lord to put healing touches on Papa, Amanda, and Meghan.

Weather to Expect:
Tuesday morning will have lingering showers... with daytime highs in the upper 30s to low 40s. A brief drier break is expected Tuesday afternoon before the next storm brings increasing rain Tuesday late afternoon.
A series of rainy systems will continue to blow through western Washington in the week ahead with warmer temperatures. Highs will be near 50 by Wednesday through Friday.

AND I pray the Lord will put healing touches on YOU too dear friend! Love the pictures, as always, and sorry you lost your doggone car. Makes me sad to know you couldn't find it and got ALL wet which I know you didn't need. Thanks for the prayers for my Sister and her family, especially Justin. God, please keep him safe! Love to all and have a blessed day!

My family is getting me the same bracelet! I can remember everything!
Hope you are all feeling better soon. We have been lucky so far, but Caitie has had a cough the last day or two.
Take care.

Stomach viruses and coughs are two of the worst things to have. Hope you're feeling some better now. Oh, and BTW, I misplace my car quite often. I just toot the key thingy and find it.
