Slow down, you're moving too fast....

Another lazy day. This week is going too fast! I am sure Papa is thinking it though not saying it. The plan today is work on taking down more Christmas stuff, cleaning the den and my dining room table off (again!). I also get to fill a couple calendars out.  Especially Lanny's bathroom calendar, Marcey! lol!  I got calendars for my kids and sisters ... but I didn't fill them out. Getting lazy in my old age!  I did fill out mama's though.

I love this picture!
Maddie would not let me get a serious picture... she kept being goofy!

Maddie went home early yesterday.  It sure was wonderful to spend Maddie and Me time together. I did miss Dylan. And I think Maddie missed Lauren... in the morning she said she forgot and was going to ask me when Lauren was going to get up. lol!

I did get the tree down yesterday. That is kind of sad and makes the house darker. I don't like dark. I love lights.  Always have. I could sleep with lights on!  I've always been afraid of the dark. Maybe because I am totally blind in the dark. Papa can walk through a dark room and know exactly where he is going. I trip and stumble and bump into everything in the room. I hate it. One of my biggest fears is going blind. Darkness all the time. It is claustrophobic too!!! Which I also have! I hate movies where someone is locked in a casket! My nightmare.

Enough of that!!!! I am freaking myself out! On to lighter things (lol... I just made a funny).... I am really enjoying my new blog "Talk about the Word". I love how God leads me into different things I need to know.  I hope you are taking the time to check it out once in awhile... and pray it blesses you like it does me!  My grandson, Andrew, is doing great with his too!

I really need to start taking care of myself. Papa mentioned how we need to do this. Things have gotten a bit slack around here. Still implementing things we've changed (no salt, healthier subs, etc) but we haven't kicked it up a notch  and I have slackened a bit on some things. Which I cannot afford to do!  I haven't been checking my blood sugar count like I'm suppose to... nor walking as much because of my heel. Poor excuse because I have a indoor and outdoor bike and a treadmill. Whatever.  My daughter is going to start putting herself first.... maybe I should too.

Just checked for snow again....nothing. I was hoping to wake up to a winter wonderland. It isn't raining or snowing or nothing. Oh well.

Stay tuned for my best and worst of 2010 coming soon!  Gotta go... don't "gotta" but I am out of things to say!!!!  Love to all!

Weather to Expect: Spot snow or mixed showers through the morning, easing later except in the central and north Sound where some convergence zone showers could continue into this evening. We aren't looking for more than an inch total. High temperatures fall from near 40 to the mid 30s this afternoon. Sunny and cold weather is in the outlook to finish off 2010 and start the new year. The next rain threatens late Sunday.

Honey, you are beyond me in the taking down of Christmas decorations! Mine will come down Saturday night! I don't like to take them down either. The first thing I do when I get up is turn the tree on and it stays on ALL the time we are here! I don't like a dark tree or without presents! I am happy that sweet Maddie is there with you, she has the PRETTIEST eyes and most gorgeous smile!

Enjoy your day my friend, it is going too fast! HUGS and LOVE from Georgia!

Joyce, you and me both....I don't like it dark and have little lamps on everywhere and twinkle lights year round (white, anyway...) I just brought the little outdoor porch christmas trees in urns to the inside, and decided to put them in the front hall year round...Oh my kids will have something to say about that, you can count on it.
No ornaments just lights. Can't help it. Don't like dark either.
Besides it cheers me to see lights. And I am so glad too, that you and I both know the Ultimate and Brightest source of light in our world. When walking in dark times, I know where to turn my gaze even if only to get that candlelight flickering to show the next step in front of me. PTL. Hope you get that snow, and LOL, I am getting ready to transfer all my monthly reminders to my new calendar for 2011 too!!! Hugs to you and have a GREAT day!!!!! Still praying for your heel. :-) xo
Joyce, please say a prayer for Jonny, would you? He and the gal that flew out on the Charlotte-Atlanta-Paris-Kenya flight path to Africa got there and the rest of the team that had different flight patterns are stuck in Rome til THURSDAY!! Just found out. There is one other couple that was flying out from Atlanta on a different time, and I hope that they are there with these two. I know they are all frustrated out of their gourds!!! But I also know God is in charge and works all things for good. Just get a little wired cause I can't talk to any of them....(you know...a mama...whose son is on his first international trip, and I find out all of this from one post on Facebook!!! ARRGH!!!) If I hadn't already experienced a deployment with Justin far away, I think I would be going crazy, but I am in gear with the REMAIN CALM AND CARRY ON....having learned No news is GOOD News... sigh. Thank you!!! I shall post about this as soon as I CAN GET SOME NEWS!!!!!!!!! xoxo
