a happy / sad day!

Been thinking about Heaven a lot today.

Yesterday didn't turn out as I expected. But I was blessed beyond measure. My friend Sharon called in the morning and we talked for awhile. Then I started out picking up mom and taking her to her hair appointment. Got to visit Rick and Berta (lifelong friends...and I mean I have known them all my life). Then we went to sister Lois and grabbed her and Denise and went down to the Grub Hut in Kingston.  They had burgers, I had french dip, mom had Cheese Steak.  I could only eat half of mine... brought the rest home. It was huge and very tasty. Took everyone home and went down to the nursing home.  I visited an old friend and mentor... Mary Lane.
I love this woman and spent about 4 hours with her. I took her upstairs to watch the Boot Skootin' Grannies... they were fun and it was a pie social!
Then we visited in the tv room until dinner. I left her in the dining room and went up to see Merideth Todd.  She was like another mom in my high school years.  I love her. She isn't doing well. She will probably be in Jesus' arms this weekend.  It was hard to see her like this.... I just rubbed her arms and there was alot of family there.  She has 7 kids and 5 were there.... Teri, Kathy, Ron, Tommy and Kenny.
I got to know her grand daughter Jill, Greg and Cheryl George were there... it was a great time to talk about old times..... it was very hard to leave.  I love those people so much and never see them anymore. And knowing it was my goodbye to Merideth was tough.  I love older people but I hate to see them go.

Didn't get home until after 7.  Today Maddie is coming over for the day... Dylan will come later and spend the night! It will be great!
