All night, all day, angels watching over me, my Lord!

Great way to start the week.... reading my blog!!! xoxo

The girls were sharing punkin petting in the morning... but Lauren got the claws that kneed.
We had the girls overnight... which is always fun!  We love overnight guests!  We went to church and the girls went to Kid's Zone.  Andrew was helping in Kid's Zone so the girls got to see him! That was good for them!   Church service was so good.  Pastor Tom and Mario both spoke sitting on stools in front of the congregation.  Both wearing jeans and it was so comfortable... like friends speaking about God and about releasing the grip... our hold on things and giving them to God.  We've known Tom for about 20 years. I cannot believe the change God has done in him in these 20 years.  He's more laid-back and the whole church is more laid-back. I think we have found our church home. I love how they reach out so much to homeless, non churched, and the needy! They are having an Operation Day of Hope on the 20th to the community... free haircuts, manicures, counseling, clothes, etc... see about it at their facebook link!

After church we went to Sluys Bakery... the home of the Viking Donut that Maddie is eating and the giant gingerbread donut that Lauren has!!!! They loved the bakery.
Here is the bakery in little downtown Poulsbo. It has been there longer than any other shop downtown. Now it is all touristy.  This is the home of the famous Poulsbo Bread that Marion Sluys came up with. Papa likes it.
Well.... what a spiritual high yesterday was!
We got a phone call in the afternoon from Heather. They had just got in an accident.  An old man ran a stop sign and hit them.  God's angels were around the car... and it hit at the front... the headlight. A few seconds difference and Heather or Jared would have been hurt.  Thanks be to God!
I know Angels watch over us... His Word tells us and we've experienced it!
We've had so many Angel experiences in this family. Papa's 3 heart attacks have to be among the top one. Car accidents, sickness, being scared, lost, accidents at work, and so many times we were not even aware that we were deterred from danger!!!!  God is so amazing.  I don't know what angels look like... I don't know if I have ever seen one... but I love these photo's you've all probably seen....

Speaking of angels... this was Maddie 7 years ago today.
These pictures are funny or not.... depends on your perspective.  You may have heard this story. These were taken 11-8-2004. Lauren loved to put things behind the tv and reach back there. One day I told her to get out of there.  She just smiled at me.  I said "Fine, leave it there." and she did. And did and did!

Come to find out.... it was stuck!!!!  Poor baby just stood there patiently waiting for me to help her... which I did eventually.  Don't worry... I am sure I made it up to her! Such a good babysitter, huh?  Then there was a little child neglect after that.... this is where she fell asleep! Probably wiped out from standing at the tv.  I still feel the guilt!!!!!

Yesterday was such a nice day. After we took the kids home papa made steaks and we watched Seattle Harvest on webcast.  It was going on all weekend with performers like Jeremy Camp, Mercy Me, Jars of Clay, and more... and the speaker was Greg Laurie.  He is awesome.  Grandson Andrew was there last night.... what a great experience for him!!!  I will never forget experiences like that... Billy Graham, Tony Evans, Charles Stanley.... amazing times.  I hope he gets to experience many more! Here is the link if you want to watch any of the 3 nights!

Check out those numbers.... 4,225 more people have made Christ their best friend! Keep prayers going for these people!

I feel His presence so strong today! I just got back from a walk with Toby this morning and had my ipod and headphones (I have big headphones because they are more comfortable and keep my ears warm!) and I was listening to praise music! What a blessed way to start the week!

Well, I hope you have a great week too!

What A GREAT blog. Loved visiting. INSPIRING!! Leave me smiling.

I too, absolutely believe the bible's message that angels are with us. Guardians...sent by God.
I am so glad your treasures were NOT hurt.

I love ALL of the speakers you mentioned. Greg Laurie is awesome, and my mom LOVES Charles Stanley. What a minister of the Word.

Listening to praise music just lifts my soul. Melodies and singing are so healing and encouraging to our spirits... An awesome way to take a walk. Crisp air, headphones with praise music, and a beloved dawg... woot!

Hugs to you Joyce. Keep On!!! By the way I absolutely ADORE that first Angel print. Always been one of my favorites. hung in my Grandmothers farm house...

Have a GREAT day bloggy sis...

Sounds like you had an incredible weekend! I missed Church yesterday because I was out of town. The week just isn't the same without it:)

We all have stories like your Lauren story! Fortunately, she doesn't remember it as anything but good:)

We have Angel experiences in our family too! It is great to be able to recognize those Angels all around us!

Have a blessed day my friend! Love you bunches! HUGS!
