What a busy couple of days! Today I have nothing planned. Absolutely nothing. My heel hurts so I am going to rest it. Well, I have the usual dishes and laundry and stuff but besides that I am doing nothing. My brother, David, might come over and fix my garage door. I love my brother but his nickname is "No-show Davo"! So he said he will come but whether he does or not remains to be seen.

Here I am with sister Libby and brothers Doug and David years ago!
Did I mention he is suppose to come and stay with us for awhile? He is renting a room with some people and it isn't working out so much. He can rent a room out from me! I would love the company since Papa is gone so much! But again, we will see if it happens. I would feel safer. He is very strong, happy and I love my brother. Him and I are really close. I think it surprises Lois the things I get away with saying to him. I call him out when it needs to happen... but he knows how much I love him and I would do anything for him.

The toy room... now David's room.
Meanwhile, Lois and I got his room ready. I picked her up yesterday and she came to my house. Together we cleaned the den and the toyroom. We went through all the toys and separated them... threw some away.
|
The toy corner! lol! This is where the kids spend all their time anyway... in the den!
We had some lunch and then took off to mom's. We decided to go early since we had to stop at the pharmacy for mom and I needed to refill her pill boxes. Good thing we left early! Lois got to see a sub go through. We sat for awhile and waited for the bridge to open again. It was strange. I have never seen so much security! They had two cops on each end of the bridge blocking so no one could get on the bridge... there were the two large barges that usually accompany the subs... but there was also several coast guard and navy boats with it.... we saw a navy boat sit near the shore while it came through. Don't know why the tightened security. I am sure it had nuclear weapons on it... maybe there was some kind of threat. Who knows. It was just something I hadn't seen before. Usually you are kept off the bridge but not so intense!

We got mom to her doctor appointment. I think it was a great visit. She was disappointed at first. We thought he would let her know when she could start kidney dialysis treatment. She is ready but they aren't starting it. He explained she doesn't want to start it until she absolutely has to! But she has gone from stage 5 to stage 4 he said so she is getting better. She will always have kidney disease but until she is at the end of stage 5 will they start it. The reason being... once she starts she will always be on it (3 days a week, 4 hours each day). Plus there can be complications once she starts. So waiting is a good thing. She just was hoping to feel better... not so tired. She was hoping it would fix other problems but he explained the kidneys had nothing to do with those. So she was ok when we left.
We went to the bowling alley to eat dinner. That is the crappiest food. My sisters and mom like it.... me, not so much. I have never had anything there I would brag about. I had 1/2 a hot turkey sandwich and instant potatoes. Not so nummy. But my sweet sister paid for it so that made it better. lol!
The other day Toby came in and laid right next to my computer which I thought was weird. Kind of anxious. Come to find out there was a small earthquake. I wonder if that was his issue. Didn't think about it until I looked at pictures.
Our garage door is messed up. I went to leave yesterday and it shut and then automatically opened again. I used my remote and went in the garage and used the switch. Same thing. It would go down and then up. No... before you comment that it could be the sensor... it isn't. We don't have one (it is older) and I made sure there was nothing there, not even a leaf. David thinks he can fix it.
I talked to Riley last night.... she had an awesome birthday! I love talking to her... she makes me smile! Papa called her from work. Her party is Saturday.
Kevon called yesterday... surprised me but it was a very good thing. He doesn't get texts because all he has is his work phone and so don't try texting him. He's not receiving messages right in his Incredimail either... not working. So if you need to reach him, call him in the evening.... after 4... after work. Or leave a voice message on his phone.
My right hand is itching.... WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? AM I going to lose money or get money????
Here are my memory photo's:

What a great verse. It is so important to do! Have you fully trusted God with your life when you are carrying your worries, stresses and daily struggles by yourself? It takes humility to admit your need, to know God cares... and accept help which ever way God sends it. We learned humility when papa was in the hospital. God sent help and we accepted it and had to trust God. Karla made the comment "We don't know what being strong is, until being strong is all you have." God will give you the strength you need... He will carry your burdens. Letting God have your anxieties calls for action... not passivity. Don't submit to your circumstances... but to the Lord who controls circumstances.
Well, I am off to do nothing. I hope you all have a wonderful day! Papa did the Yippee... it's Friday dance before he left for work. He's so funny!
