bears and me....

You may be asking yourself.... what is with the bear and what does it have to do with anything?
Well.... I loved this.... these people in Colorado Springs couldn't figure out why their water barrel was empty every morning!!! So they hid cameras and here is the culprit taking his morning bath! love it. It has nothing to do with nothing except I can be a bear sometimes where my mom is concerned.... but not as mellow as this one. Maybe I need lessons from him... relax ...lol .... now on to mom:

I have some catching up to do... and then some! I've been a bit busy at the hospital.

Where did we leave off? Oh yea, I went to kick butt Thursday. Never got to because she was bathed and eating breakfast when I got there. But I got to later!
At lunch time Tara came to have lunch. So we ordered mom's lunch... it came but she had to go potty. She needs assistance to get on the portable pot. So we go down to get Tara's lunch in the cafeteria. When we get back to mom's room her cheeks were red and she was in bed... looked a bit upset. She said they never came to take her off the pot so she took herself off! The girl came in and said "You shouldn't do that, what if you fell." Mom told her "You would have had to pick me up!" I went and told mom's doctor it was not acceptable!!! She came in and checked on mom and said she was sorry and went to kick butt. (she is so sweet i don't think she could kick a but if it was right in front of her and her leg was raised. lol) Then I helped mom with her meatloaf and potatoes.... she ate half of her dinner and all of her ice cream and milk! It helped to have Tara there alot!!!! After a bit mom was sleepy so we left.
Yesterday (Friday) I called mom and got worried because she was so fuzzy and incoherent! Lanny went in with me to the hospital. Mom was cranky and tired as could be! I went and talked to the nurse and she said mom was on another antidepressant too.... and that could be making her sleepy. I talked to Dr. when she came in and she said she was going to take mom off it. Her digotoxin level was down to 1.8... so it is leaving her system! Mom will never be on that medicine again! They are dealing a bit with her heart rate and blood pressure and kidneys, but the doctor thinks she can go to rehab now! So a social worker came in and we discussed nursing homes. A female bed was opening up at Martha and Mary Saturday (today) so we are praying mom gets it! Didn't hear before I left the hospital. Anyway.... the staff finally caught up to her that she was suppose to be on a Renal diet. This week she has been eating mashed potatoes and gravy... not alot but some and she wasn't suppose to. But being the full blooded Norwegian she is it is a favorite side dish! Well... we went to order her Clam Chowder for lunch yesterday and the kitchen said no! Could not find anything else she wanted. Her doc comes in and we tell her and so her new diet plan says "Renal Diet and Clam Chowder". lol! So she got her bowl and ate it all. I wish you could have seen her when she took that first bite! Finally something that really tasted good to her! Hallelujah! She ate part of a roll, her milk and ice cream. She will get stronger as long as the poison is leaving her body and the nutrition is entering! Next on to some physical therapy. I have high hopes! God is so good!!! Lanny had to leave early for work and I needed to stay longer to talk to the social worker so Brad and Tara took me to walmart and I got Papa's car. Thank you guys!!!

Please check out Karla's blog! I cracked up reading it.... she writes so well and she doesn't even have to exagerrate! She describes my grandkids to a T! (what does that mean anyway?) Check here.... leave a message if you want! http://karlajrsblog.blogspot.com/

Well... I am getting dressed and going in there early to spend the day and see that everything goes good with the move. Pray it happens! Thank you all for your prayers! I tell my mom who is sending love and prayers and she gets a smile!

Too funny with the bear! Love Karla's hair, I can't believe ANYONE would cut a child's hair without the parent's permission! I bet you were ticked off!

Praying that the move goes smoothly with your Mom and that she is on the road to recovery!

Love you bunches!
