Happy Labor Day! Now rest! ;D

Happy Labor Day.. the day we celebrate the contributions American workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of the United States of America. And to most people... great sales, traffic, bbq, a day off, races, celebrations, and, of course, Jerry's Kids!
Just an added saying since we are talking about Labor day.... to all the mom's including my own!
THE BRIDGE: I took this picture. Isn't it just beautiful of the sunset? I was sitting on the Hood Canal Bridge waiting for the bridge to open. That is what I love about crossing the bridge every day.

And then on the flip side.... this is what I hate about crossing this bridge. When it is closed and we have to wait. It is interesting for many that don't use it as their main highway every day, but for the rest of us it is a pain.

Especially when it backs up for just one little sail boat. grrrr
I don't mind submarines as much as the sailboats... even though they take longer and we're not allowed on the bridge when it opens (homeland security... since they are nuclear subs). Here is what they look like going in front of your place. This was a few years ago... now they are escorted by navy boats too.
MY BLOG: I absolutely love my memory pictures. They may not mean much to anyone but me and hopefully my family.... but I smile while I do them. Starts my day off right! I also like the fall back ground. May be a bit early but Blogger has some pretty backgrounds that are very easy to do!

TODAY: While I have been busy this weekend... papa did all the laundry and some cleaning! Bless his heart. So this morning I am tackling the toy room just in case mom has to come stay for a few days. I am not seeing it... but it may happen. My niece will be coming the 18th regardless for a week so we'll need a bed ready in there. He put it back up off the floor so Dylan can't jump on it anymore. Sorry Dylan. I got it all planned out... just need some strong backs! lol!

SLEEPING: I told mom I would be there this afternoon. Of course, I slept until 8! I didn't sleep all that well with that cat! I got up for a drink at 3:00 this morning and brought my camera to bed to show you all how much room I have. Notice papa is gone... sleeping in his chair. Something has got to change. I did move the cat to the foot of the bed... she somehow got Toby to get down and took his spot. Is it just our house or is every house ran by their cat???
No one probably cares about anything I wrote above but I will like to read back on it one day. I am sure most of you are wondering about my mom!

MOM: Yesterday I walked in at 10 and watched her sleep for an hour. She woke up and we helped her get dressed and she sat in the chair and had lunch. It was a roll, roast beef, au jus, (she ate all of it)... she ate half of her green beans and almost all of her pumpkin pie! Very good! We came back in the afternoon and she had a tuna or chicken salad sandwich and peaches and ate it all again! So her strength is coming back and she is not sick to her stomach any more. But the lady in the room with her is always sick to her stomach and is not eating! She always cries she can't eat and she is going to be sick. Makes me sad. Mom had visitors yesterday too... Rita and Vicky came to see her! They brought beautiful flowers, too. Libby brought outfits and mom's blanket to her and a picture of her and daddy.
Just talked to her and she is dressed... ate all her french toast this morning. Just resting now. It is so great to see her feeling better. ;D
Well... I best get to cleaning so I can visit her later! Thank you for all your prayers. We know why she is getting better!!!!

WOW! The sunset pic should be entered in some mag. photo contest...seriously. breathtaking...
I love it..Makes waiting on something well worth it. I was just amazed to see the sub going under the bridge. What an interesting location you are in Joyce. Imagine that! I forget you are WAAAAAAAAAY out there on the coast where that stuff happens.

So glad your mama is improving. Her food menus sound delish. It really helps one to be motivated to eat when the food is actually tasty...some food in some hospitals and homes is SO bland and yucky. I will keep her in prayers. (YOU too) :-)

Happy Labor Day back at ya! Like your photos.
HUGS!

I am going to print it and frame it for my mom. She loves sunsets and those are her Olympic Mountains that she see's every day from her window in her apartment. If you like the photo you may steal it. ;D
