A dark and dreary day.....

This is such a sad photo.... it is of the Rodger family (Jane, Chris and Emily) with their son who was killed in Afghanistan last week after serving over there 7 months. His name: LCPL Christopher Blake Rodgers, 20 years old. Please pray for his family. I cannot imagine.

I am not sure how to switch gears here. It is so very sad it brings me to tears. I thank God for bringing our Justin home safe. But by grace.....

Well...on to my mom's saga.... she had a fall. Nothing serious (thanking God again!) She was using her walker to go to the rest room in the night... the walker won and she went down. Bruised her back. Praying this will not be a setback!!!! Libby went in there yesterday. She didn't call me about it until later because she didn't want to ruin my "day off". She is going to bring mom a breakfast croissantwich this morning. Mom isn't eating breakfast because it is so nasty.... soggy waffle, dry scrambled eggs, no meat, dry toast with no butter, etc.... I am taking her a milkshake and burger tonight. (hehehe). She has got to eat. Dinner yesterday was rice (everyday), lime dried chicken, and a veggie (carrots, green beans, etc...never a salad). She is sick of rice. When we get her home I am going to try to set up small meals for her. She only needs a small bit... she is one person. Just trying to get participants will be hard... they are all so busy. Can't even get her visitors! We got to get her home. Libby and I are encouraging her on this end to work hard. And with all the prayer.... please, God, let it be soon.

Mom isn't even sure who her doctor is at this point. Libby thinks mom needs HER walker to work with since that is the one she will be using. Also we need to check out her phone... it is fuzzy. Can't even talk with mom when you call. Lots of things to check out for mom. We worry for her finances as well. Lot's going on. But God is in control.

I got the den and toy room clean and checked off my list. I am glad I have those done. Staying home was good yesterday. But I miss my mom so I am going in this morning to see if I can do something. I hope you have a good day. Keep praying, my dear friends, we see God's hand working! ;D

POOR Mama, she is just having a rotten time... two steps forward and one step back! We'll pray that changes to three steps forward:)

I wish I lived closer, I would sit with you all or take a turn! Visitors mean a lot in healing!

Love you bunches and I'm praying from here!
