Missing Ma

I thought the Bible verse was appropriate today. Comforting. It was a year ago today ma went to be with the Lord. Doesn't seem that long.... but it seems forever since I've talked to her. Miss her soooo badly! Prayers for her children... Lanny, Rita, Kern and Susan today that will be thinking of her and still trying to cope without her. Today will be the hardest on Becky and Rita (pictured below with Ma).

The we have Lanny's attempt at humor when she was up here one year and we took the parents to Sequim for dinner.

Mary (from Peter, Paul & Mary) died yesterday. Peter, Paul and Mary recorded hits still recognized now, including "Leaving on a Jet Plane," "Puff the Magic Dragon" and "Where Have All the Flowers Gone." Great folk singers.
And comedian Henry Gibson also died yesterday. I mostly remember him from Laugh-In.
And a close friend of Theresa and Tracy's died in Georgia. Her name was Teresa too and she has a daughter... Christy. Please pray for Christy as she deals with her loss.



Ok.... onto a lighter note.... I think. Lanny heard this rumor his 30+ year old daughter got her stinkin' nose pierced. Could this be true? All the kids have been silent... haven't even heard anything from Heather. So we pulled up the picture of her new haircut from yesterday. Couldn't see anything there. He was all ready for it too .... he wanted me to write on his facebook "Please send another picture because it looks like there is a booger on your face." That is so Lanny. IF it is true.... she hasn't heard the end of it from her father. Is this midlife crisis time?Well.... I posted abut my new job below. The congrats here and on facebook have been so nice and amazing! Thank you all. Feels like you've all been through this search with me! I bet you're all exhausted!lol!

After my orientation I tried to find someone to have a celebration lunch. Everyone was busy! I tried Karla who was having lunch with Tara. Tried mom who was at Walmart with sister Libby. Tried Ry and no answer. Tried Candice... no answer. Finally came home and had a piece of baked chicken from the night before. Mom called when she got home and wants to go have a celebration breakfast this morning! Then this afternoon I take one of my favorite people, Mary, to her doctor appointment. That is always fun!

I played with some of my sites I have done.... one with funny video's that always make me laugh and one with my blessings.... which always remind me to be thankful when I am feeling cranky.

Started walking on my treadmill again last night. I hate it. Kevon nagged and pushed during our phone conversation yesterday. Then I was afraid he would call and check to see if I did it so I had to. Will try it again this morning. I used to do it during Dharma and Greg every morning. Don't think it is on anymore. The show that is. Thanks to all the facebookers who encouraged me to walk last night. The guilt was overwhelming! My cell phone text kept going off with people either encouraging me and/or congratulating me. My phone finally died. lol! I loved it!

Monday heats up to near 80 on the last day of summer.
