Fall cuddling and Labor Day!

I love these cats.... I'll keep posting them every day until I run out. I hope they've put a smile on your face.

HAPPY LABOR DAY! I guess I don't really get to celebrate because I don't have a job. Oh well. Yesterday was quite a Fall Kick-off! It didn't just rain.... it POURED! We had such heavy rain, wind, thunder and lightening. It was the coolest day. We even had some sunshine! I will have to resign to the fact that fall is definitely in the air. The leaves are turning and blowing off the trees, the fog is rolling in, the air is crisper, it is getting darker, and the calendar says September. I am going to try to embrace fall this year. I really hate it.... just the time of year. Not the season change. So I will focus on the good changes.... that God created!

Didn't do much yesterday. Papa changed oil in both vehicles this weekend. So we're good for another 30,000. He took the berries he picked for my sister Lois to her. Lauren and I cuddled in the recliner with a blanket and watched the movie Jumanji. Andrew was on the phone and computer. Quiet rainy day.... but not so in Eastern Washington.....Heather took the boys out to a farm and took their pictures!

How handsome are these boys???? SO good looking! Here is Parker. Not looking like he is liking the whole picture thing.

Heather really should think about taking up photography. She really is good.

I forgot this picture was still on my camera from last weekend! Jordy and Dylan woke up. Dylan had his arm around Jo until I grabbed my camera!!!

And this picture of Andrew looking SO grown up! He is looking so much older to me. He just took Toby for a run!

Here he is doing a couple of his favorite things yesterday .... talking to cousin Parker on the phone and being on the computer. Do you think he is comfortable?

Lauren made herself some scrambled eggs with cheese. It drives papa and Lauren crazy when he is home and she is cooking! She knows what she is doing but it is better when I supervise. Papa gets nervous and full of advise. She gets a bit frustrated but is pretty patient with him saying "I know papa" 200 times. It's almost funny.

Amanda called and gave papa some news last night. An old buddy of his, Darryl Steele, called looking for him. He's going to call him today. Sad news.... Darryl's dad, Art Steele, passed away. That is sad news for Kingston. I think everyone knew Art. Nice guy.

Well, my house is too crowded. Not with people but with furniture. I need to start clearing out some things today. Maybe that is how I will celebrate "labor day". That and doing something with all those berries!!! He's talking about picking more today! What is with him? And what am I suppose to do with all these berries? Anyway.... hope you have a good day. Didn't the weekend go toooooo fast? God bless your day! Remember.... He made this day and lets not forget to count our blessings!

What's Next
It will be a cool and damp Labor Day across western Washington. Periods of off and on showers are in the forecast. A few sunbreaks are possible during the afternoon. High temperatures will only be in the lower 60s, about 10 degrees below our normal average for this time of year.
Tuesday's outlook features morning clouds giving way to plenty of sunshine. Afternoon highs will climb back up to the 70 degree mark.
We have another chance of showers on Wednesday as a weak weather system moves in from the Pacific.
More sun and warmer weather are in store Thursday and Friday.

Caitie and I made blackberry freezer jam last year. It is easy and a lot less time consuming than canning it.
