My Soapbox for the day: Oprah!

Oprah has decided there are MANY ways to Heaven.....even though the Bible says otherwise. She didn't get this message from the Bible. She got it from her New Age mentality...and what she chooses to believe. How sad to hear how off track Oprah has become. Just because she doesn't like the way God set things up... doesn't mean she can just create her own religion. Truth is truth no matter what our "feelings" are. The word of God is truth - I may not like all of it either, but that doesn't change reality. There's something greater than we are out there and He sent Jesus to walk among us. He can see the big picture. We can't just pick what we like & don't like about the Bible. It's the word of Truth. If there are any other ways to God... then Christ's brutal death on the cross was unnecessary and He was a just a deluded, pitiable and forsaken man. Jesus was the One who said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me." John 14:6 He didn't hang on the Cross because there were all sorts of ways to heaven. Heaven belongs to the True God who is perfect. The only way to HIS Heaven is through the Blood of the Cross and the love of the Savior, Jesus Christ. He's about the forgiveness of sins and those who know its true. Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter through the NARROW gate, for WIDE is the gate and BROAD is the road that leads to DESTRUCTION and MANY will enter through it. But SMALL is the gate and NARROW is the road that leads to life and FEW will find it." Oprah is very deceived and since so many people watch her she deceives a lot of people. If she would read the Bible she would see that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Its all about Jesus. The only true and Living God. Throughout the centuries people have despised the message of the cross and it continues on today. I am not surprised by this video. One thing I know for sure... that it was the Lord who has allowed Oprah to reach the acclaimed status she has and it will be the Lord who will bring her down. She says that God is jealous of her, again....she should read the bible... its states the following.. "You shall not MAKE Yourself an IDOL any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God" (Exodus 20:4-5). Has she ever read her Bible? Is her ego so huge she thinks God could be jealous OF her? She has nothing He needs except her love, faith, and belief. I'm sad to see people so deceived. I know where I'm going to be when I die. Pray for Oprah's soul and all that believe in this false doctrine. One can not comprehend the judgment she will fall under leading people astray. What a shame to have such an influential successful person that could reach millions for Christ be blinded. It seems when someone becomes a celebrity their opinions are pushed upon the general public....and for some reason people believe in them and in their opinions. 2 Tim 4:3 "For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts" Never was this scripture so true as now. Wow. Oprah is a kind and loving person, but out of touch with God. She is trying hard to make sense of a novel that is going to make someone else rich and hurt people in the process. If she ever gets in a situation where she needs to pray, who do you think she will turn to, her inner self, or the author of that new book? Oprah doesn't have Christian beliefs. After all -- a "Christ" "Ian" is a follower of Jesus Christ and she denies Who He is -- the Only way. Sadly, one day, Oprah will face God and he will deny her as she has denied him. The day will come when God will say I knew you not to her and the poor souls she took down with her. I will never watch Oprah again. All we can do is pray for her, that she will accept Jesus and His wonderful gift of salvation before its to late.Jesus said, "For God so loved the world (you and me)that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever (you and me) believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
