Surgery was a wonderful success!

Yay! It is finished!!! We are all so relieved! Surgery went great! No problems with her heart, no problems attaching it. Dr. Arthur said it was a really small vein so the surgery took 4 hours. We got there at 7... she got into surgery after 2 and we got to see her in recovery after 7. I had to dress her to come home in a bathroom!!! That was awkward. It would have been easier on the side of a bed. Got her home after 9.... I wish I had a picture of Lanny pushing mom to her apartment in this VERY low wheelchair... mom with her legs sticking straight out... sucking on a vanilla milkshake... looking like she didn't have a care in the world. It was so funny! I had her in bed and asleep by 10. She was really wobbly last night. Her throat hurt so I got her a milkshake ... and her knee's kept buckling. Libby came at 6 this morning to stay with mom today and I am suppose to have Makoa early.... so I am home. And very tired. Think I will drink more coffee than normal today. lol!

Mom and our family want to thank you all so much for your prayers!!!! Prayer works! Without a doubt. God guided the surgeon and staff. So many things could have gone wrong. We all had a peace during the day. Well, I think mom was a bit hungry... but despite the crossed arms.... she wasn't that cranky at all. Libby told ferry boat stories which helped. Time went really fast.... here is mom before the surgery. No after shots though.I'm kind of going all over the place with this post. I am tired so there is my excuse. Slept on mom's love seat (didn't want to wake her by folding it out) and got up and checked on her 3-4 times last night. She slept good. ;D

I'll call her later today. Papa took today off. After Makoa leaves I go and pick up Maddie for 3 nights. She is very excited! Dylan is going with his grandpa. Hope Maddie doesn't get bored.

Have a great day! Keep praying this works and takes like it is suppose to and that her kidneys do not shut down before her fistula is ready to perform. THANK YOU ALL!!!!

Hallelujah. I'm so glad for y'all. Still have a package to send your way, but I've been kind of wrapped up with Ross, who had a complication from his wisdom teeth removal.
