It's all about my mama today!

Yesterday ended up kind of peaceful. I ended up not having Makoa... I didn't know his grandma had two days off. So... it was quiet. Messed around with pictures and my web site. That was about it. Did little things around here that don't count enough to write about. Kind of a boring day.

In the afternoon I went to the ball games. Our team won the first one and lost the second. The first game we gave the other team their first loss! That was sweet. The second game is the team we had stomped on last time... well they returned the favor this time. Oh well. It happens.I am up early... mom's surgery is today. We have to be there at 7:30... but her surgery might not be til noon. Keep her in your prayers. Her surgery: her doctor creates an AV fistula by connecting an artery directly to a vein, in the right forearm. Connecting the artery to the vein causes more blood to flow into the vein. The AVF is the AV fistula. As a result, the vein grows larger and stronger, making repeated needle insertions for hemodialysis treatments easier. That is the plan. He said it is a one shot thing, because she only has one good vein. And they prefer to use the non-dominant arm which would be her left... but they cannot because there are no good veins to be found in that arm! And her heart history is a concern. So ... with all that being said... here we go! She said she is ready. Libby spent last night with her and I am spending tonight!
When all is said and done..... this is how it should work:I am so sad to realize kidney dialysis is not an option... it is a reality. It will happen. I pray her arm is ready when her kidneys do fail. God bless my mama. Papa said we have to get ready to go.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

God bless Mama... saying a prayer , Joyce. Life is fragile, and can be taken away at any moment, and yet Life is guaranteed. With Christ. I like that. He helps us through every season, time, moment and day in this walk, and then He just steps us across the invisible threshold to continue forever with Him ....just another place, that will never change or end. Illnesses, Surgeries, heartaches, pain, Longsufferings, Joys, Comforts...through it all...HE is there. rah....
In your waiting for your mama to come out and give you her smile again after the surgery, I will be praying for you. WE are always waiting on something aren't we?
Hugs to you, and comfort and peace that all will be well. God is watching our backs, and walking ahead of us too... Wisdom and skill and success to the doctors... Sending
(((((hearts)))))))) across the miles...
