I love Saturdays and I love Summer and I love the sun and I love the other Son.... my Savior! This post is brought to you by the letter "S"! (I am around kids way too much! lol!)
It is 9 in the morning and Papa is already done with the second coat of paint on the back deck. Now he is in the shower. Really have no plans today. Which is nice.It is suppose to be 95 today. It will be sizzling! That is super hot for around here. So trying to keep the house cool. Not many people have air conditioning in their homes around here.... we don't need it normally. I am really glad my mom has it.
Had Makoa yesterday and Lauren came over later. She helped me with Makoa and after he left she went across the street and played with Cameron in his yard. She played for a couple hours in his yard and our yard. Andrew was at Goonies (his youth group). He spent the night there so I didn't get to see him. He called to say he didn't need me to pick him up last night.... noisy in the background... so before hanging up I said "I love you, Andrew". He said "I love you, too." I could hear the hoots and hollars in the background and him laughing. I love it! Never be embarrassed to show you love others is my belief. Plus it is fun to bug teenagers. I loved Andrew's post on his site http://thewalkoflifethroughateenseyes.blogspot.com/
He is praying to reach others with this blog. God will use him... already is!
Two older Jehovah Witness women came by to convert me. They left and came back 5 minutes later... one of the ladies was almost crying. She backed over our mail boxes. Why do people keep hitting them? They have these huge poles... you can't miss them! I told her not to worry about it and tried to comfort her and shoo her away. I was trying to get Makoa to nap. An hour later she returned again with an elderly gentleman who said he would be by in the morning to fix it. Well, he was back last night with his drill and tools and fixed it all up! That was very nice of him. I guess they don't want to mess up their witness. Nice people.
I called Kevon yesterday. I said "I was just thinking of you." He said "Because it's Friday the 13th?" I said "Yes, and to tell you I love you!" He said "I love you, too, mom". I love those moments.
He is a boss man now at work. I am proud of him. He came over to Lanny and Kapono's shop to see how his crew was working and visited for a while the other day. Kapono is one of Kev's best friends... and Lanny was busting with pride. ;D
That was it for my day! This is so boring today. I have nothing to spice it up, either. Hope your weekend is pleasant and peaceful..... xoxo
Andrew's devotion: PSALM 119:81-96
His thoughts...... When you are persecuted and are brought down by others, the Lord is at your side and He will help you rise again. Don't be afraid to go out of your comfort zone to show love because God isn't afraid to step out onto the ledge to show His love for you!
