Karla's 2nd birthday... the picture above and below I was in maternity tops .... back off! Focus on KJ..... she was my angel!

Today marks one of the happiest days of my life! The day I gave birth to Karla Jean! She was my first baby and I loved holding her more than anything in the world. Just sitting there holding her with those trusting eyes looking up at me and watching me watch her. I could have done it for hours.... which I did. I remember crying and feeling like I would always be a terrible mom because I couldn't feed her the way doctors said you had to. Karla only weighed 6-15 when she was born and was so small to me. I remember going to the phone booth in Poulsbo and calling my mom crying because she wasn't eating... and mom telling me to used canned milk, hot water and a little sugar. It worked! I was 19 when Karla was born and so unsure. I made so many mistakes with her but I tried my hardest. I loved her so much and always wanted to do my best and to give my best for her. She was my princess. Now she's grown with kids of her own and I am so proud of the mom she is. I only hope I contributed somehow to that. Celebrate and cherish the day God blessed you with a precious child to raise.... always. Wow, I am sitting here crying as I write this. Sad and happy tears.
Yesterday was another nothing day. Made pork chops for dinner, watched the Bachelorette ( Jillian is an idiot), oh... and got my rejection letter from Social Security Disability.... but they told me to file for SSI (Supplemental Security Insurance). Lanny's sister, Rhonda (who lives in Forks) sent some Twilight stuff to me and the girls! That was so thoughtful of her. She's very thoughtful and I love her! Thanks Rhonda!!! And it was good talking to you on the phone yesterday! (pass this on to your computer illiterate mom, Hilary! lol) Always nice getting something fun in the mail.
Pray for my friends son-in-law. He had a stoke yesterday. He is already better... praise God! You can read more about it on "Ganky" and "Kelly Kelly" blogs.
Well... another day of nothing going on. Surprise. Hope you have a wonderful day today and I pray it's full of fun and happy surprises with lots of laughter!!!!
Weather:
The warm up continues. Highs in the middle 80s today, and upper 80s for southern and eastside cities. North wind 10 mph. A lack of incoming wind from the Pacific will allow highs to heat up more Friday, with suburban 90s possible, and high 80s for Seattle.
A tad cooler on the Fourth of July as marine air starts to creep in by fireworks time Saturday night. Highs will hit the mid 80s. Lows drop to around 60.
Sunday and next week the clouds return with a chance of mountain thunder showers, and cooler temps.
