I love these two ladies with all my heart. I call one Ma and the other Mom. Mary is mom's best friend and a friend to our family... her kids are our friends. Great family. Yesterday I picked up mom and we went to Mary's. We had a nice visit and then took her to the eye doctor. Mary has Graves Disease which has caused her some serious vision problems. The good news was the doctor said there was slight improvement in her left eye! After the doctor we went to the bank and to supper at Stella's. It is a small Italian restaurant Mary loves. It was really good and we had great laughs during dinner. Of course we laughed in the waiting room filling out paperwork for Mary.... we laughed on the way to the bank while talking about those two holding it up.... we laughed all afternoon!!! It was a blast and probably quite comical to watch me tend to these two! After we had eaten I dropped off the DISH stuff at UPS and I shopped with Mary in Albertsons while mom went into the dollar store. Then, sadly, our day came to an end.... like all good things. We all agreed it was a great day!

This morning I was invited to the free movie with Karla and the kids! That is going to be fun! I love going to those. And it is free. I've never seen this movie playing before so I am looking forward to it.

Tonight is suppose to be the first softball game for Karla, Joel, Amanda, Ryan, Meghan, Kevon, and Tara (they are all on the same co-ed team)! I am praying the rain stops!!! Karla asked me to keep stats for the team! I am honored! I kept stats for our high school varsity baseball team and for Kevon's teams growing up, but it's been awhile. I will have to try to remember. I asked the high school coach, Virg Taylor, to give me a quick refresher. lol! I'm excited.

I walked out to the garage to get my camera and felt liquid sunshine on me!!!! Felt good! Then a song got into my head but I changed the lyrics... it was Dottie West's song: "I was raised on country sunshine"... but I changed the lyrics to:
"I was raised on liquid sunshine, green grass beneath my feet
Runnin' through fields of daisies a wadin' through the creek
You love me and it's invitin' to go where life is more excitin'
But I was raised on liquid sunshine!"
That's where my head is today! Stuck in that song.

I'm not watching tv. I am so disgusted with the lottery for Michael Jackson's memorial I could puke. I think the spectacle is very disrespectful. Elizabeth Taylor isn't attending the "public whoopla" (she called it). John Mayer said he is not going to "perform" but to "contribute". Difference? I loved Michael Jackson in the day.... my heart goes out to his children. What is all this doing to them? I may be one of the few that don't believe he molested children. Out of the 2... the second one came out saying it never happened. I think MJ wanted to be a kid so bad. I think his head was so messed up from his childhood or lack thereof.... and fame. He was definitely eccentric, strange, searching for some things he never found, and finding things that were bad for him... a very lost and troubled soul.... but I don't think he hurt children. I just find the whole memorial a spectacle and sad. My opinion only. No one else agrees with me... but that is ok.

Well... that is it for today. I hope you all have such a wonderful day with happy surprises!!!! God's blessings!

Weather To Expect
The cool and cloudy weather continues. High temperatures today are running about 10 degrees below average. Look for highs around Western Washington in the mid 60s. We'll stay mostly cloudy throughout the day with some afternoon sunbreaks.
Showers will continue through Wednesday with temperatures holding in the 60s.
Thursday and Friday look much drier and warmer.
Saturday looks mostly sunny during the day with clouds and a few showers moving in late at night. Sunday looks a little wet with showers and low 70s.

It is a bit cloudy here but not raining. We have been getting an occasional shower and we really need it. I don't much care what it is like outside today, my booty is staying in. I have been sorting thru clothes that should never have been taken on vacation. It doesn't matter how many times I say how few clothes I am taking... I take TOO many! Love the picture of your Mom and Mary. Sounds like I would have fit right in with that day! I always loved hanging out with my Mama, miss her still after all these years. Love you and hope you have a tremendous day. The movie and the co-ed games sound like loads of fun! Ta Ta for now:)

Well, you and I are alone in the same group. I really don't think he did anything either. He was just one messed up man in so many ways. And I also think the "public" memorial is disgusting. I wish his mother and father would have had better judgment. Maybe that's why he was so screwed up.

I completely agree with your analysis of Michael Jackson, and feel for his kids.
I wish he could have experienced normal life at any point- like a trip to the grocery store without being mobbed.
Even if I have kids as talented as him, I'll NEVER be a stage Mom ; )
