Maddie's birthday week is over?

I'm home all day today! Didn't think I would be excited about that but this has been a busy and fun week!!!

Want to wish a happy birthday to Lanny's cousin Pete Brazeau! He had a rough year with his health... but he's doing good now! I pray he has a lot of happy and healthy years ahead!!!!

Yesterday was Maddie's birthday and I picked up some balloons and stuff and went to her kid party. Or so I thought. I waited at Karla's for about 10 minutes and then called her because it was after 12 and no one was there! That is because it was up at Raab Park... about 2 miles from her house. duh. The party was fun. The parents hung out, too. All the kids got along. Dylan ran into some stinging nettles. A little boy got a piece of bark in his knee (like a sliver of it) so I suggested going to the fire department. He was screaming. Hope it wasn't too traumatic for him (but maybe it was past that point when his mom was pushing on it trying to get it out.)

Dylan is getting into the role of middle schooler. In fact, he may be too cool for school! haha!


Our cat cries after the kids leave my house and it drives me nuts! So after the party Dylan sent an old spiderman shirt of his home with me with his scent on it. I put it on the floor by my computer when I got home until I could figure out where to put it. Before I even knew it this is what I found.She loves Dylan and he loves her. First place he goes at my house is looking for Punkin!

Today is housecleaning day. I got up at 4-something and talked to papa a bit. Already have laundry going and all I want is to go back to bed. But that isn't happening. I usually clean on Monday's but didn't have time. I have bathrooms, my bedroom, dusting, toyroom to get done. Maddie and Dylan are coming over tomorrow for the weekend! I am excited about that!!! It will be fun!!! I don't know who is more excited! Me or them or papa! lol!

Yesterday when I got home from the party I just had this overwhelming feeling of how blessed I was. I got out of my van... which is a huge blessing. Opened the door and Toby greeted me all happy and I felt so blessed. Then comes the cat meowing at me. I love my animals. The past few years the Lord has given me this huge love for my husband, family, pets, friends, home, etc... like I've never felt before! I let down all my walls and love completely now (which I thought I had done before but hadn't). That is difficult to do and I think it only happens through the Lord. I may have a few walls up with a few people but I am working on that. I know I may get hurt, may lose people or pets in my life, but that's what life is. Ups and downs, blessings and losses, and I will fly high during the blessings and mourn during the losses. But I will always thank God!
