Baseball, yard sales and naps!

Good morning. Everyone at church is camping this weekend so we are skipping. Might go see Heather before Ryan's game. Need to see if she will be there first. That's about it. Ryan's game is in East Bremerton at Legion Field (the one behind Alberstons by the hospital). It is a double header so he has a game at 1 and 4! Come on out if you want to see some great "men's hardball".

Went to Gamblewood Yard Sale's. Stopped at Ry & Amanda's for awhile and visited. They were doing pretty good. It was good seeing the kid's too. Lauren was playing with a friend. Andrew was cracking me up. I tried the old "Jo Mama" thing and he said "Mam, that's so old. Don't try bringing it back." Man, is he 13! Too funny. I took a 2 hour nap yesterday! Didn't want to wake up but I was dreaming I was pregnant... due next month so I decided to get out of that world! Of course, since my nap was 4-6 pm.... I didn't go to sleep til after 1 am. Watched some tv and slept on the couch because I didn't want to disturb papa. Ended up there til 6:30 this morning and then got up.

I was sad to hear of Walter Cronkite's death. Not that it wasn't expected... he was 92. But he was an amazing man of honor and honesty. He was one of the greatest newsmen of our time. He was called "The most trusted man in America." Can you imagine any newscasters being called that now? ha ha. I remember him reporting Kennedy's death with such sadness .... and the joy he had when Apollo 11 landed on the moon in 1969. He came back from Viet Nam reporting in a special (because he didn't like to give his personal opinion on his news show) that we were mired in a stalemate... which Pres. Johnson wasn't happy with because it changed public opinion dramatically. I miss the integrity of his type of reporting.

Well.... not much more to say. One of those days, ya know? Hope you all have a wonderful day and enjoy the wonderful weather we've been having! We are blessed!

Weather To Expect:
Temperatures have cooled off by about 10 degrees on Sunday.
Monday and Tuesday highs will be in the mid 80s and by the weeks end there will be cities in the low to mid 90s.
Current forecast has record highs in store for the following weekend.
