where is your walk?

I was listening to Adrian Rogers on the radio last night driving home from work. He said a few interesting things. He pointed out that it is not the unsaved people who are the most miserable out there.....it is the saved who are out of fellowship (not walking with God) with God. Another thing he said was the difference between a saved person and an unsaved person is this: an unsaved person runs to sin.....while an unsaved person runs from sin. Makes you stop and think, doesn't it? Are you miserable? Are you running to or from sin? Where are you at right now? Are you saved or have you been playing a game with God?

Another thing he spoke about was when he was young and fell from a coconut tree and broke his arm....he was hurting!!!! No one turned their back on him and ignored him. No one shot him, talked about him in the name of prayer, no one lectured him! They loved him and helped him! But why do we treat people like that who have fallen and sinned? Why does the church sometimes turn their back on the person, shun them, gossip about them, and shoot them? We should be gently, humbly and sympathetically helping them!!!! When one part of your body hurts.....the rest of your body can't ignore it. So it should be with the church. Just thought I would share all this so I remember it.

Lord, sometimes when you speak to us it is so loud and clear! I've been in
that place before. Help me to walk close to You and steer clear of things that
displease you! Touch the persons heart who needs to hear this message. In Jesus Name, amen.
