tomato stuff.... for lack of anything else! lol

Wow... right as I was writing this I got the most beautiful sunrise looking at me in my window!
Get rid of the power pole and lines and it would be perfect! The mountains are the Cascade Mountains and the Hood Canal (part of the Puget Sound)! God is the best artist ever!

Cleaned the back deck yesterday, dusted the house, cleaned off the table, put clothes away, dishes, and picked up stuff. That was about it yesterday. Felt incredibly lonely. I hate when he goes back to work. Phone was quiet, house was quiet.... good thing I have my animals. Of course, this is what Punkin did.... great company a cat is.
Well.... that was my exciting day. I'll go and read about all of your exciting days yesterday. I'm so thankful I have my farm on facebook. I'd go insane without! lol! I did change my background here.... which I am sure you noticed. Found so many new sites I posted that offer new back grounds. I can't rearrange my furniture (which is what I used to do when bored) but I can change my back ground, farm, and stuff on my computer! lol! And my back doesn't hurt when I am done! Hope you like it!

Last night was a rough one. Neither one of us could sleep! We tossed and turned and talked to each other most of the night it seemed. We haven't been sleeping well. Not sure why?!?!? It is very frustrating. I got up at 5 .... figured "why not"?

My right hand has been itching for two days! Doesn't that mean something? We are going to lose money or get money or something like that?

I posted stuff about tomatoes on my site here for all my Georgia friends from the Farmers Almanac. Hope you enjoy!

My history picture was taken in 1978! I love it because the face Karla is making reminds me of her blog yesterday!!!! It is weird how I remember the blanket, the toys, the clothes, Killer dog, and Bobby Bear. What memories. This was taken in Eastern Washington. Karla was 3 and Kevon was 7 months old! Doesn't seem 31 years ago. Almost makes me cry!

Bible verse..... such a good one!

Basil Loves Tomatoes

Basil has a famous affinity for tomatoes,

as a plant companion and in the kitchen.

All along the Mediterranean coast, a common lunch

of uncommon perfection is a crusty roll split

and filled with sliced ripe tomatoes, a dash of

salt, a generous splash of olive oil, and a few basil

leaves, all gently squashed so that the juices soak

into the bread.

Of course, nothing tastes better than a

just-picked tomato. Here are a couple of

wonderful recipes with tomatoes and basil if you

get tired of eating tomatoes by themselves:

Fresh Tomato Basil Quiche

Tomato Corn Salad

Margherita Pizza

Totally Tomatoes
• Harvest tomatoes when they are firm.

A ripe tomato will be only slightly soft.

• Leave tomatoes on the vine as long as possible.

• The perfect tomato for picking will have full

color.

Regardless of size, the tomato will be very red,

with perhaps some yellow remaining around

the stem.

• If your tomatoes fall off before they appear

ripe, place them in a brown paper bag with an

apple or pear.

• To store ripe tomatoes, place them in a

cool, dark place in a single layer with the

stem up.

• Never place tomatoes on a sunny windowsill

to ripen; they may rot before they are ripe.

• Never refrigerate tomatoes. Doing so spoils the

flavor and texture that make up that garden

tomato taste.

• Always serve tomatoes at room temperature

for maximum flavor.

See our Ripeness Guide to know when to harvest

other fruits and vegetables.

Weather To Expect:
Tuesday - high temperatures in the mid to low 80s. Seattle is looking at a high temperature of 84 degrees this afternoon.
Wednesday - temperatures up into the low 90s around many areas of Puget Sound.
We'll start seeing temperatures drop into the low 80s Thursday with mid 70s on Friday.
For the upcoming weekend, temperatures will hold around the seasonal averages in the mid 70s with morning clouds and afternoon sun.
HAVE A GREAT DAY AND GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Girl, you know you had me at tomatoes! My Brother, Leon called me last night to see if we were tired of eating them and I said "Heck No"! So after running a few errands and stopping by the house to make a sandwich, I am going to his house to pick up MORE tomatoes. I take Autumn a toasted bagel with tomato every morning for her breakfast! Now, I am sorry you felt lonely and couldn't sleep. Punkin surely wasn't having any trouble:) The Sunrise is just gorgeous... even with the power pole. You guys sure have a beautiful view! Ok, hope you are having a good day! Love to all!

As a matter of fact, I'm making tomato pizza tonight! I love tomato with basil and mozarella or parmesan!

Yeah, I think you need to get Punkin to give you some sleeping guidance!
