If I could rule the world....

Wow.... wouldn't it be nice if the world lived according to this verse? Life can be sad and hard sometimes and it seems like the majority of life's problems is misunderstandings, not listening, and not forgiving. I wish I could solve the worlds problems but I am certainly not equipped. But I know someone Who is!!! And I pray!

Yesterday Lauren was too tired and not feeling up to going to VBS. So she stayed home with papa. I took Maddie to VBS and stayed and watched for awhile. Made me miss the days when I helped out. Then I went and picked up my meds, got gas (prices now $2.85 again!) On my way home Kevon called... he was home so I stopped and visited with him for awhile. Came home and did nothing the rest of the day. I had such a sinus headache all day!!! I took a nap til Meghan called. That was about it. It was a kind of a rough day with not feeling well yet.... but the bright side was having Andrew and Lauren here. They can brighten anyones day! Lauren gave me a pedicure. Andrew scratched my back. Lauren played with Gregory and Cameron. Andrew played on the computer. Today is Tara's 36th birthday!!! wow.Gotta get ready for VBS this morning.... will hopefully take pictures today! lol!

I love what Greg Laurie said..... I am posting it because it is important:

A Faith Based on Facts

He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
--Acts 1:2--3

Christianity is not a feel-good belief system that asks you to accept some misguided fairy tale. It is based on reliable and documented evidence of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, thereby justifying His claims and promises. Granted there is an element of faith that is required to believe, but it is based on the clear facts.

Yet going back to the earliest centuries, there have been those who have suggested that Jesus never rose from the dead. Some have said it was a hoax, while others have said the disciples were just hallucinating. But Luke, writing about what he had seen, said that Jesus "presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God" (Acts 1:3).

The word Luke used for "seen" could be translated "eyeballed." The disciples "eyeballed" the risen Lord. Here was Jesus, who had been crucified and put to death. And He didn't just appear once or twice--He was popping up everywhere. Five hundred people saw him on a single occasion. That is no mass hallucination; that is evidence.

If this were a hoax the apostles dreamed up, certainly one of them would have broken ranks and admitted it. But they all died the death of a martyr except John, who survived an execution attempt and was banished to the island of Patmos. Not one of them broke ranks, because they could not deny what they knew was true.

Jesus was alive. They had seen Him. They eyeballed Him. It transformed their lives, and they had to share the gospel message with others. They were real people just like you and me. Yet God used them to change the world.

Weather To Expect:

Clouds will be holding strong throughout the day with high temperatures this afternoon running in the mid to upper 60s around the sound.
Saturday will bring us mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers throughout the day. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s.
Sunday looks to be the drier and warmer day this weekend. A few morning showers are possible, all tapering off by the afternoon. Some sun will start peeking out for the second half of the day with high temperatures in the low 70s.
Heading into early next week, a more organized low pressure system moves into our area. This will bring the chance of showers through the early part of next week with highs in the low 70s. Have a great weekend!
