another monday.... thank you Lord!

Quiet, quiet house. And empty. No one here but me, the dog and cat. Papa went back to work today. No grandkids sleeping in the other room this morning. I got up to see papa off and it was still dark! Quiet house. Of course I am hearing noises I never heard before. lol!

Today is our friend, Glenn's birthday! I want to wish him a very happy bday! He is a real nice guy and we enjoy his friendship. And today I am picking up mom and Mary to take Mary for bloodwork, the bank, and shopping. It should be fun! Usually is with them. It's like taking out the Golden Girls.... except they laugh all the time!

Yesterday morning we visited North Kitsap Baptist Church... where the girls went to VBS this past week and where they go to awana's. It was nice. No one really talked to us except the lady when I dropped the girls off (the girls later told me they wanted to come upstairs because they were nervous... but they were fine after awhile). But the message was really good and I loved the music! It was awesome! It was the spiritual boost we needed.... and half the distance from driving to SBC. No, we haven't quit SBC for those reading this. We still love you!
Came home and made lunch. Me, Lauren, Maddie, Andrew, Dylan and Papa played FARKLE. Dylan won. The girls faded out halfway through the game. Quitters. Boys were heading to the beach when Amanda called and was on her way. Don't think they made it. Girls played and played as usual. They are really the best of friends. Maddie makes me laugh. She is well known for the fits she throws... she has a temper. Yesterday I wouldn't let her take the whole bag of cookies into the toy room. I told her only a couple. She got mad at me. Comes back out after a few minutes asking for a cookie. I said "No more fits?" She said "No more fits." Took a cookie and then pauses to say "No promises though, no promises." Booger.

I think I am going to go lay down. I got up way to early. When you get up you never know what is going to ache at my age. My left arm is hurting and I am feeling clammy. Think I'll go back to bed til I have to get mom and mary! Have a wonderful day and be happy!!!! You can never get this day back again.

Weather To Expect:
We're starting the week off on a wet note. Showers are moving in this morning and will continue throughout the day. High temperatures are running in the mid to upper 60s this afternoon.
More rain is in the forecast Tuesday with highs in the upper 60s. The next 48 hours will be the wettest time this week. In fact, we could see the most rain since mid-May.
Rain is expected to be on the decrease for Wednesday with a stray shower popping up. Temperatures will be back up into the low 70s.
A passing shower is in the forecast on Thursday with temperatures dropping back down into the upper 60s.
If you're missing the summer sunshine, it looks to return for the weekend. More sun is expected to break out on Friday and will continue through Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures jump back up into the 70s and 80s.
