all wedding reception.........

I am sooooo tired! I cannot believe how much my feet ache!!! We danced and had so much fun at Kevon and Meghan's reception last night! It was one of the funnest times I've had in forever! There were SO many people there, the power stayed on, the wind and rain stopped, and it was wonderful! It was so good to get our family there too! Everyone but papa danced last night! Dylan got drug out onto the dance floor a bizzillion times, and we even got Parker and Patrick for a few seconds. lol! The ones that never stopped were Andrew and Jordy! They were dancing fools, I tell ya! Lauren wanted to go home early. And when she is done.....she is done! So papa ended up taking her and Maddie to the van for video's. I tried to hold out because Andrew was having so much fun....finally he collapsed in the chair and his feet were killing him! That's when we left. We got home and Maddie and Lauren were having achy feet, too. I would have stayed to clean up but took kid detail and left the parents to help. I'm sure their feet weren't hurting as much as mine. I did get to dance with Kevon. That was sweet. Meg's grandpa did a very nice toast and welcomed our family into his family. That was really nice. I love Charlie and Dorothy! Wonderful people and I am so happy the kids joined our families. He said if any one of us need anything....just call. And I know he means it. He told the 3 little girls that too. Lauren, Maddie and Riley all wore their pink dresses and looked so cute! Jordy was beautiful in a black sparkly dress.... and the boys were boys. You know...they looked nice. They cut the cake and did the smear job. Too funny! Until Kevon smeared it in my face....and then he got Andrew even worse! That was funny too! Karla made the most amazing video's we all watched during dinner. Everyone was glued and loved them! Good job KJ! I think all of Kevon's friends were there ..like Ryan McKenzie, Clevelands, Brad Sloman, Jerk, Copono, Mabbutt's, etc.... I finally met Mavis and Bill Sloman! I talked to her many times in high school but never met her. Same with Trish & Jim Ingels (Ryan's mom and dad)! And Lori Mason was there!!!! I love Lori! She just found out last night that I am connected to Kevon and Meghan! We danced together and shared some great time! She's a sweetie! Some of the softball team was there....Jay, Derrance and Jessica....they all had fun! Lester came but no Cheryl. And my supposedly best friend, Sharon and Ron, didn't come. I was really disappointed. oh well. I guess Lester represented our friends. Ron & Tiffany were suppose to be there....no show. Davo and the girls came, mom, Libby & Kevin, Kara and Kevin to represent my side of the family. I think mom had a good time, too. Rick and Kathy Rayment came pretty late.... they missed mom....but they had a fundraiser to do. Scott and Berta never showed up. Meghan was breath-taking last night. And an amazing dancer.....she danced all night long!!! The nephews and nieces were in awe of her. It was fun to watch them. I think the girls thought Kev was ok....but he didn't look like a princess. lol! It was catered....Meghan's mom had that done. I heard the food was really good....I didn't have too much.... I barely even sat down! The little ones weren't so hot on it so Don went and picked up Burger king just down the hill for them. Got some great pictures but they'll take awhile to crop....then I will post. So check back later today!

On a different note.....I am so glad they had their reception this weekend. Today is the day my dad went to be with Jesus 4 years ago. He always told Kevon to stay away from girls...which he did until a week or so after dad was gone and he met Meg. It was fitting they had the party this weekend....and it really distracted mom and the rest of us from mourning again. I still miss my dad with every part of my heart....and he would have had a blast last night... but I know he's with Jesus and his party is much better than ours. In his memory I made a Memorial website for him, too. Hope you enjoy it. http://leonardlangager.blogspot.com/

What's Ahead:
Sunday's forecast is much calmer. After a few lingering showers during the morning, some sun is going to break out. High temperatures will be in the upper 50s.
Another strong area of low pressure approaches from the west late Monday. The morning hours should stay dry, then look for rain and windy conditions to develop late in the afternoon through Monday night. Showers and cool weather are in the outlook for Tuesday. A brief break comes on Wednesday before more rain returns next Thursday.
